When I posted on this topic the other day I was wary of posting anything that might be rumors and such. So I stuck with the few tidbits on Gearboxs' official facebook page.
I have had a chance to do a little digging so here is whats coming. The Level cap pack will drop on April 1st for $5 and it IS counted as part of the season pass so no charge to season pass holders. Whats included? The Lv 61 cap raise of course along with a third play through mode called Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Along with scaled up enemies this mode will also give you the ability to increase your amo and bank capacity( no exact amount mentioned) and the return of pearlescent weapons. Orange grade Legendary weapons in the first Borderland were much more common. In fact ever boss dropped one and it was a guaranteed drop everytime. Pearlescent were crazy rare and powerful guns that could appear in any random chest or be dropped by any random enemy. You never knew when you would get one. In two play throughs I have only gotten two of them. So the hardcore who will likey want to recollect lv 61 legendaries will also have a new tier of super rare gear to find.
Then there is Krieg the Psyco. He will be avaialble in May for $10 as is not part of the season pass. As I suspected his skill ability makes him play similar to Bricks Berzerker class from the first game. He can go into Buzzax rage which allows him to throw his buzzax, increases movement speed and boost his meele attack 500%. He also has a unique second wind ability called Light the Fuse. When he gets downed he can use light the fuse allowing him to chunk sticks of dynamite and eventual blow himself up with an enemy to get a second wind.
Finaly is the fourth and final dlc campaign which has been pushed back to a June release. The only detail on this is a teaser trailer showing Tiny Tiny, Lilith, Brick, and Mordicai playing a game called Bunkers and Badasses. Clues that people are taking from this is that the clip starts with a shot of the Hyperion Moon Base before scrolling down to Santuary. Then there is mention of a Hyperion enformant being shook down for info. So the Moonbase might be the new local, who knows. On a side note I also learned that all the previous DLC campaigns were outsourced to a different studio, and that this final campaign was being done inhouse at Gearbox and that it would be as big in scope as General Knox Armory in the first Borderlands.
So I am pretty excited about the Ultimate mode to say the least . I am disappointed that the lv cap is 61, thats only 11 more skill points. This game is supposed to be about badasses, so I want to max out my crew to badass levels. They should have bumped it up to 100. Anyway just 7 days to go.
