When I posted on this topic the other day I was wary of posting anything that might be rumors and such. So I stuck with the few tidbits on Gearboxs' official facebook page.

I have had a chance to do a little digging so here is whats coming. The Level cap pack will drop on April 1st for $5 and it IS counted as part of the season pass so no charge to season pass holders. Whats included? The Lv 61 cap raise of course along with a third play through mode called Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Along with scaled up enemies this mode will also give you the ability to increase your amo and bank capacity( no exact amount mentioned) and the return of pearlescent weapons. Orange grade Legendary weapons in the first Borderland were much more common. In fact ever boss dropped one and it was a guaranteed drop everytime. Pearlescent were crazy rare and powerful guns that could appear in any random chest or be dropped by any random enemy. You never knew when you would get one. In two play throughs I have only gotten two of them. So the hardcore who will likey want to recollect lv 61 legendaries  will also have a new tier of super rare gear to find.

Then there is Krieg the Psyco. He will be avaialble in May for $10 as is not part of the season pass. As I suspected his skill ability makes him play similar to Bricks Berzerker class from the first game. He can go into Buzzax rage which allows him to throw his buzzax, increases movement speed and boost his meele attack 500%. He also has a unique second wind ability called Light the Fuse. When he gets downed he can use light the fuse allowing him to chunk sticks of dynamite and eventual blow himself up with an enemy to get a second wind.

Finaly is the fourth and final dlc campaign which has been pushed back to a June release. The only detail on this is a teaser trailer showing Tiny Tiny, Lilith, Brick, and Mordicai playing a game called Bunkers and Badasses. Clues that people are taking from this is that the clip starts with a shot of the Hyperion Moon Base before scrolling down to Santuary. Then there is mention of a Hyperion enformant being shook down for info. So the Moonbase might be the new local, who knows. On a side note I also learned that all the previous DLC campaigns were outsourced to a different studio, and that this final campaign was being done inhouse at Gearbox and that it would be as big in scope as General Knox Armory in the first Borderlands.

So I am pretty excited about the Ultimate mode to say the least . I am disappointed that the lv cap is 61, thats only 11 more skill points. This game is supposed to be about badasses, so I want to max out my crew to badass levels. They should have bumped it up to 100. Anyway just 7 days to go.

I prefer the snipers too. Zero was the first character I used but I intially focused on his melee skill tree. I changed him into a straight up sniper when I took him into TVH mode. There is a glitch in his Bore skill, pretty sure its only supposed to work with snipes but it seemed to effect any gun I used. The Mechromancer works good as a sniper too. She can send death trap into the frey then pick off bandits as death trap draws them out. Also her Interspersed Outburst is a perfect match for snipes since most fire slow and you want to line up your shots. It does bonus slag damage, and each time you successfully use it the chance you will slag an enemy goes up. And the best part is with this ability you can slag an enemy with any weapon and pile on the elemental damage.

The only character I have not tried it Salvador the Gunzerker. So far I like the Mech and the Siren the best.

Moxxi just rules. If you give her tips she will tell you all kinds of funny shit. Tip her enough and she'll give you a really good gun.

Good info.  I can't believe the level cap was just raised to 61.  I agree it should have been higher.  I am now a little psyched about the Psycho.  Berserker is my favorite character, I love the Gunzerker mode.

Yeah, he is going to be a fun character to use I think.

Krieg is going to be fun to play. Can they come up with anyone more insane than him? I think not. Tiny Tina will be a blast in the DLC.

Tiny Tina is always hilarious. Strange thing is when they first mentioned the addition of a sixth playable character, I was wondering what kind of character they might go for and a bandit type character crossed my mind. Deffinately will made co-op games intersting.

It certainly will. If Lilith is involved it should be fun. She's one of my favorite characters in the game. She's a badass and very funny at times.
