Question #20

Hello Pixlbit, how are you?

                                ? Block

Sometimes there's a video game that has a mechanic in it that is very well done that makes the gameplay fun. But sometimes it isn't used again. So for the question is, what is one video game mechanic that is so underused that you'd love to see more of? Can be any mechanic. More than 1? List 5.

That's all for now, thanks for reading and later.

I loved the dual timelines in Radiant  Historia and hopping back and forth to solve problems. I don't recall that in anything else I've played.

Mothman is right, time travel is underused in video games.

Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons is a neat one with time travel.

I haven't played that.  I think I have it though on my 3DS...

At this point this is probably a cliche answer for a question like this, but I'd love to see more games use the sanity effects from Eternal Darkness.

Uh, minus the fake data corruption moments please.

How about the tether from Just Cause. Every game should have that. EVERY GAME.

The upgrade system from Ratchet and Clank. Giving you a huge selection of weapons which level up just by firing them is ridiculously addictive despite that only Insomniac uses it.
