I can't remember what was first, but it might have been Duke Nukem or Doom. I was a PC gamer until the games I played got ported to consoles.

BaD #11
Hey Pixlbit, how are you? One thing I rarely talk about is Playstation, so today I'm going to try something different, plus I've been meaning to post this for a while anyway. It'll be a 3-part series about my history with Playstation and my experience across the 1st 3 generations of Playstation. Hope you enjoy them.
I remember when I was a kid, the only 2 consoles on the block was the Super Nintendo or the Sega Genesis. You either chose Nintendo or Sega, you can tell which side I was. I remember one of my friends said he had a console called a Playstation, I didn't know what that was.
I remember getting an N64 for Christmas with copies of Super Mario 64 and Cruisn' USA and loved them both. I was surprised, I mean I was doing well in school so I can only imagine the N64 was something for getting good grades.
Also known as the Fun Machine
I had a blast with Super Mario 64, my mind couldn't comprehend that I was moving Mario in a 3D environment. It definitely was like a mind-blowing revelation, to me and still think that it a huge monumental stepping stone in the industry. I got to try some amazing games.
I remember my dad took us to visit my uncle at his house. I saw something in my uncles entertainment shelf thing, I never seen anything like it. I asked my uncle what it was. He told me it was a Playstation. I never saw one in person up till then.
This looked alien to a Nintendo fanboy as myself back then
I saw it and it had such a different, yet futuristic design to it. I had experienced an NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy Color (more on that next time), and more recently an N64. This was something, something else. My uncle told me if I wanted to play on it, there was no way I could refuse that offer.
I had no idea this thing used discs, I had been around cartridges all my life and didn't know you could use what you would use to play music on could be used for games. I was wondering what I was going to play when he popped in the disc...
Technically not the first thing I saw, but my first Playstation Experience
The title said Crash Bandicoot and naturally I thought that I had to be playing a game about a bandicoot named Crash. I thought to myself, what's a bandicoot? I didn't give it much thought since I started playing. It was very different from the games I played, but it was just fun.
My uncle said he had a disc with different games in it. I think this might have been a demo disc and they were really fun. I don't remember the actual games but I think it might of had Twisted Metal in it? After a while I asked my uncle if I could play Crash again, he said sure.
Time passed by, I did get to experience the Playstation in the form of demo units in stores. Eventually my cousin next door got a Playstation too for xmas. I don't know what crazy bundle he got but it came with alot of games. He wasn't around, so I decided to give this game a go...
Another mind-blowing thing seeing Pac-man in 3D space
I got to try Pac-man World and I knew who Pac-man was. I loved playing it at the arcade and was wowed when I saw him in 3D. It was really fun and felt a bit like Mario 64. I then tried this Spider-man game which was really fun too.
I remember one time my dad got angry at me for something, he got so angry that he janked the N64 and threw it on the floor. My mom got angry at him and that same day he took us to buy a new N64. It was this big store, like a department store and it had it's own area dedicated to video games. He told me if I wanted another N64, or a Playstation. My mom did tell me to keep in mind that I already had quite a bit N64 games. She had a point, not sure if I was willing to abandon them. My dad told me to look around for a bit. There was really nothing I wanted to try on the Playstation since my cousin invites me to play on his, though at the time I was into Digimon as well and wanted to try the game on the Playstation.
I looked at the N64 section and I saw the next game I absolutely needed to get, so I told my dad that I wanted another N64. One of the good things from buying another N64 was that we now had 4 controllers instead of 2. So good problem.
It wasn't the last that I got to try of the Playstation, but that's for the next post.
So that's it for now, what was your first Playstation experience? Did you have one? Thanks for reading and...
