Hello everyone, how have you been? Been wanting to update this for a while. This wont be an entire collection update, but rather some of my most recent amibo purchases because it would take too long. I will do an update with all of them a while later. So here is my most recent amiibo purchases...

One of the 1st non-Smash Third Party amiibo figures. I pre-ordered it as soon as the pre-orders went live, which was apparently a mistake by Amazon. But they said they would honor those pre-orders. Was debating whether I should cancel or not when the shipping date arrived. I saw that people wer selling it for 50 bucks, so said sure, might as well buy it now than regret it later. Don't have the game yet, but will need to get it since I have the amiibo figure.

I got the 3 Pack via Amazon from a seller selling it for 20 bucks, which was almost half off, a good price for what this pack goes fo online. From left to right is Inkling Girl, Squid, and Inkling Boy. I gave my little brother the Squid, I gave my other brother the Squid Girl, and kept Inkling Boy for myself. They said they would get me each a figure at some point to make the trade fair. They unlock stuff in the Splatoon game, which is cheap because that is locked content. Oh well, we have em now.

 

I got this the day the Pokemon themed Splatfest was announced which was an amazing coincidence. This also makes this my first Pokemon amiibo and was really happy with that. I almost teared up at the Gamestop store that I saw it. It was a very sentimental feeling. You see, when I first got into Pokemon as a kid, Charizard was the very first holographic card I ever got on my very first pack of Pokemon cards, which is the card on the right. I was the envy of my school because no one had a Charizard at that point, I was the only one. Everyone had either a Blastoise or Venusaur, but Charizard was the most coveted of the original Pokemon cards. Back then, it was worth 200 bucks.

Yes that is the very same card and I've held on to it for years. It's all old and worn out, but it's still my favorite of the cards. The other one is another Charizard card I got years later as a teen, which is very neat. These are the only 2 Charizard cards I have. Back then it was impossible or near impossible to get a holographic card, now it is very easy as I think you are guaranteed a holographic one, at least up to the point where I bought em in my late teens cause I remember getting a lot on every pack. So getting a Charizard amiibo as my first Pokemon amiibo means alot to me, even so on the day a Pokemon-themed event based on the games that made my childhood awesome was announced. Call it destiny, fate, luck, or coincidence, but it's a very special thing to me.

Ahem...so that's it for my most recent amiibo purchases for now, I'll be back at some point to update the whole collection, or part of it in pieces because the post may be way too long.
