Sage Solitaire icon Solitaire is a pretty well known concept at this point so I'll jump to how Sage Solitaire is different...and it is in pretty much every way. You are using a deck of cards, like normal solitaire, but instead of completing suites you're making poker hands. There is a helpful list of what constitutes the different hands and how much they're worth. You just make hands till you run out of possibilities. It's strangely compelling. Better yet, the normal mode is free to play and a $2.99 unlock removes ads and gives you two more modes. So you have nothing to lose by giving it a try! (For a more in-depth look at the game and its other modes—written by someone who has actually played them—and why it's good, click here.)

I really should learn more poker games. My family tried ad nauseum to school me, but I just was never interested at a younger age.

I don't know how to play poker at all, so learning any version of it would be an improvement for me. I couldn't tell you the difference between a flush and full house off the top of my head, for instance.

I think a full house is all the high-powered cards, from a 10 to a Queen to a King, whereas a flush is a hand of cards that are all in the same suit? I have no idea though. Probably should have Googled before responding.

Nope a Full house is 3 of a kind plus two of a kind. A Royal Flush is 10, J,Q,K, A of the same suit. A Flush is 5 cards of the same suit but they don't have to be sequential and a Straight is 5 sequential cards but the suit does not matter. A Straight Flush is 5 sequential cards of the same suit.

Two, Three and Four of a kind is sell explanatory and unless there's a wild card 5 of a kind is cheating.

Explain "sell explanatory." Like, explain the one part of this with explanation as a key word, as that is the one part I am having trouble with and will need you to explain.

oops "self explanatory" as in 3 Aces are 3 of a kind. There you go.

Y'know, this is one instance where it may look like I was trolling ... but I genuinely thought sell explanatory was a poker term when I saw this.

In my defense, beer.
