Cool history about the voice. Never really thought to ask when Charles Martinet started doing it.

Platform: MS-DOS
Released: 1995
Developer: Presage Software, Inc.
Genre: Game compilation
This game includes five traditional games: Checker, Backgammon, Go Fish, Dominoes, and "Yacht," a version of Yahtzee. The player actually faces off against Mario. These are Mario's games, after all, so you have to play against him! The game was published by Interplay, who also published several other Mario-related games such as Mario Teaches Typing and Mario's FUNdamentals. This game is also famous for being the very first Mario game to feature the voice of Charles Martinet, who has gone on to voice Mario in all of his games.
While the games featured are fine, the overall game has received mixed reviews. The games can be fun but also too difficult at times. The graphics and animations were praised for the time, but they're a little irksome to look at now. As for that voice, watch the video below and hear it for yourself. We tend to forget that Mario's voice was NOT introduced in Mario 64, but rather in this more obscure PC game compilation.
