I like Life is Strange. Made me feel like a teenager again.

It's been making the rounds that Reynolds screened Deadpool for the 13-year-old cancer patient above weeks before the movie came out. That's awesome. As was the movie.
It makes fun of comic book tropes while having them, but I thought it was a blast. I am looking forward to 2 where they won't have to focus so much on the origin story, but that was handled really well anyway.
If you're looking for plot twists and unpredictability, Deadpool is a fairly standard comic book film in structure, but for me at least all the jokes hit and I loved how creative they got with the R-rated gore. I'm glad this 11-years in the making movie was able to profit from its insane marketing campaign to pull in a much-more-than-expected $135 million at the box office. It's breaking all kinds of R-rated records and the sequel has already been confirmed.
The most pleasant surprise is that, while we all saw that Nicolas Sparks fake billboard making the movie look like a Valentine's film:
what I wasn't expecting was just how well it did romance. The chemistry between the two is amazing and I think I partly rooted for the amoral Deadpool cause his girlfriend was so awesome. Collosus and Teen ... whatever her name is are great supporting characters as well. And with the money they made, they might even be able to afford another X-Man in the new one!
Basically, you get exactly what the trailers promised you with this movie.
Playstation 4 Demos
Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations
I have never gotten into this series as much as some friends, but I do like the show. I think it's charming, even if it doesn't exactly make me burst out laughing.
This is essentially a point-and-click adventure, except that you control Jake and can use Finn's stretchy powers (I may have gotten their names backwards) and other items to solve clues after looking around and grabbing some items for your inventory needed to solve the case.
I like the premise, the characters, and the writing, but I am not a huge fan of tiny hit boxes. I find myself constantly having to stand in EXACTLY the right spot to examine an item or use something in my inventory in a certain area.
It's one that I'll probably get if I see it on sale, but the constant annoyance of having to stand in JUST THE RIGHT PLACE is gonna keep me from purchasing full price.
There's also a fighting minigame that pops up every once in a while. Once you've hit them without them hitting you enough times, you can get Jake and Finn together for a powerful combo. After my matches, Jake would say you could fight again and get more treasure, but nothing I did in the demo really required it.
Ride
Racing sim with motorcycles. Plays pretty much like any other racing sim in that I'm too impatient to follow the blue lines guiding you and crash often. I'm just more an arcade guy. To be honest, I just try these games cause they look nice.
Life Is Strange
This is one of two demos I played that really caught my attention. It seems to have a very similar gameplay gimmick to Until Dawn, with the Butterfly Effect system, only instead of a horror game it's a high school drama/mystery where your character can rewind time. The music in her headphones in the opening was soothing and despite having lyrics, fit really well with the game and I could see myself relaxing to this. It's definitely on my wishlist, and the fact it comes in epsiode packs possibly makes it cheaper.
I've also noted the photography bent to it, though all you can do in the demo is take a Polaroid selfie to get your teacher's attention.
Does anyone know why pasting an image puts it so far below my text once I downsize it? Well, ok, I know that part, I mean how to fix it?
Tembo: The Badass Elephant
This game does a great job mixing the speed of Sonic (the elephant you play as can charge really fast) with the exploration of other platformers like Mario (though not to that extent; less hidden levels, more obscured level parts) in a way I really appreciate. The demo is the first two levels and I had a blast either zooming through or going back to get all the civilians and kill every l;ast bad guy.
The only thing is it seems like the perfect handheld title, so I might get it for a Vita or 3DS if I ever splurge on one rather than my PS4. Then again, I recently came to the conclusion I've always mainly played my handheld games at hom anyway, so we'll see. I definitely have lower fidelity games on my PS4 already, like Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut and Xeodrifter, which I Patrick'd (for those of you who don't listen to NWP on here, I mean I got to the very end and just stopped playing).
Disgaea 5
This one I was interested in because Blake talked about it on the last Lower Level podcast we recorded (To Be Released), mentioning its sense of humor involving penguins and I was on board. So far, I've skipped a big chunk of the intro (which the game lets you view later; much appreciated) and started talking to NPCs and looking at treasure chests. I'll probably restart and just watch the intro this time, the gist of which is a demon-girl is obsessively liking an OP anime guy and does controlling things to him. Not a fan of her so far, but the art style and dialogue have me intrigued. We'll see about the combat, since I'm not really a strategy or turn-based kinda guy.
Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm 4
This one is just pissing me off. Apparently, I'm a wood ninja fighting a fire tornado ninja and no matter what I do, fire tornado ninja knocks me on my ass by spamming while I'm trying to figure out the button layout. This is a demo that says "if you didn't play previous titles in the series, then fuck you," well same to you Ninja Storm 4 devs!
To HELL with that guy on the left.
Otherwise, I've still been playing Witcher III, but getting my ass kicked on side quests (Blake says I need to start using Axii and herbs and stuff to win instead of just my sword) and made a little more progress in Vice City, where I am currently storming the one guy's house with Lance (I made it pretty far but then wasn't able to find someone shotting at me and ran out of armor).
What are you up to? How was Valentine's Day? I had a $3.99 enchilada meal with a Taco Bueno coupon. It was delicious.
