I'm on Steam! Finally!

Ever have one of those days when you feel like the oldest person on earth? I certainly do today. Finally downloaded Steam onto our PC last night. Can't believe it took me so long to do this. This is revolutionary for me. Even though I know many of you have had it for a long time now. I've never been a PC gamer, but I was playing the demo for Spec Ops:The Line and just loving it. Everything just looks so good and controls well. Have a feeling this year I will be buying many games on Steam. So many good ones to choose from I don't know where to begin.

This is not really how I am feeling today. Actually feels pretty good! I try to keep up with all the latest news and tech in the gaming world. Listen and watch podcasts on a daily basis. So how Steam has eluded me until now is beyond me. Guess coming onto this site had something to do with it. Hearing others rave about how cool it is was a major factor in getting onboard with it.

Grandpa Simpson is right. Those clouds are way to fluffy! Who do they think they are! I feel like such an old codger when I am late to the table. I only recently bought a Wii for the man room. So I'm trying to stay on top of gaming tech and experience life to the fullest. Clouds be damned!

"You damn kids and your lousy Playstations and XBOX 360s think you're hot stuff, don't ya? Well I got news for you. You're not! Now get the hell off my lawn!!!!"

What I'm listening to today........how about some old timey grandpa music?

Just plain old smartcelt. Try to use it wherever I can to be sort of consistent.

Congrats!!  I haven't made the jump yet.  If I decide to not jump into the next PS and Xbox consoles, I'll probably go pc.   Rhandy Rhodes is classic, he's one of the best soloists there ever was.  Lot's of melody.

Makes you wonder what he could have done. So young when he passed. He was brilliant and he had his whole life ahead of him. He was constantly learning new ways to improve his playing. I'm going to try to get Steam up and running on my PS3 tonight and check that out. Will be cool to do it through a console.

I didn't realize you could run it through a console.  How do you set that up?  Can you do it on xbox as well?

I think it's only on PS3. Turns out it only works for Portal 2 . Seems I remember when they did that to help promote Steam.

LOL. Took you long enough! You can add me if you want, but I'm rarely on there. This laptop doesn't have nearly the capability of the one that just died and I won't be doing much PC gaming.

Tami! I was missing you on here. I will look for you on there and add you. I would try playing on a laptop,if I could pry it from my wife's fingers! She is usually playing Sim City on it these days. So I'll be doing my Steam gaming on our desktop I'd imagine.

I am on Steam but, really have not done anything with it.

I discovered just a while ago the whole PS3 thing is bogus. You can only play Portal 2 and I have that on disk. Makes no sense. I think they were promoting Steam and used that as bait.

You can add me. I'm not on Steam a great deal myself (what I mostly like from Steam are the Ys games).

I'll have to look you up. Thanks for that, btw. It remains to be seen how much I will use it on the PC. If the Steam Box comes out this year that would be awesome.

I need to put more time into steam again. I think I got discouraged after Cave Story and Binding Of Isaac both began beating my ass simultaneously. lol.

I'm gonna be real careful about which games I download. Don't want to get bogged down with stuff I could buy for consoles. Chances are I will focus on games like the two you mentioned.

Rhodes will never be "old codger" music dammit, and it doesn't matter what Bowling for Soup's "1985" has to say about it, Ozzy, Sabbath, Rhodes, Iommi, Butler, Dio, all will live on a hell of a lot longer than they did! Though no offense to Soup, they're from Dallas, or at least DFW, and I actually grew up with and like their catchy pop punk music. lol Can't go wrong with "Mr. Crowley," and I love those old live videos of Rhodes, holy crap! The "Crazy Train" one is great, too. I wasn't even born until after most of Ozzy and Sabbath's stuff was made, and there's plenty of people in my generation that like it.

Loved the Warlock, and despite hearing of their existence countless times, didn't realize their singer was a knockout blond woman! That just made my day right there. Great song and video, I love rock anthems like that.

Oh, and I only got on Steam this month I believe, and haven't been able to use it much cause of my old computer, and I'm 23, so don't worry, this youngster was late to the party as well! There seem to be limits on who I can add until I actually buy a game, but I'm JimBeamHortonWho on there if you want to try.

Randy Rhoads will always be remembered as not only a great musician, but a fine human being. Between him and Sharon I'd say they saved Ozzy's life. Gave him a reason to live and to thrive. Doro Pesch from Warlock is one of the best female metal vocalists ever. She does not tour in the US,which is a shame. Tours all over Europe and Asia.

Don't feel bad. I have yet to try Steam. And I agree. Clouds make me angry lol.
