My girls love playing video games. Sometimes though they get together and play and they start talking like they are the charecter and not really playing the game. I, for some reason get irritated when they do that. I'm like play the game or turn it off. I guess since I spent $60 on a game they should play it. I mean they, the games, are not their dolls or doll house. So, am I bad?

I think if they're enjoying it, they're enjoying it. Now, if they're cutting into YOUR game time ...

Most of my gaming time is after they go to bed. I guess when I was their age, I sat down and played my Atari. I know they can play the games. I guess I am being bad.

Ah it's cool.  I think any use of the imagination in a positive way is good, but I understand your frustration.  What games are they doing with this?

Lego's, Yoshi, Mario Kart 64, 8 and Snoopy.

$60 is a lot right now for a game. $20 is about my speed.

Shoot, I catch them on the clearance end-cap at Target for $9 to $5. lol

Yea, actually, I usually get three games for $20 on those buy-2-get-1-free sales at gamestop.

Kids play so many video games now that have set rules and goals, so it's nice when they can play something that doesn't have any of that, and they are free to use their imagination and just play.  So I say, let 'em play!  It reminds me of when my little brothers would play City Trial in Kirby Air Ride.  They would ignore the rules and just make up their own games, like hide and seek or tag.  And I thought that was great!
