I beat Mad Max the other day. Had a blast and consider it one of my favorite games of 2015.

My NES collection is now up to 7 games thanks to the other day. I have the three games I mentioned on Wednesday and have Journey to Silius, Ninja Gaiden, Simon's Quest and Tecmo Bowl in the basement. The only issue is that I do not currently have a working NES.

I have been looking at Gamestop.com just to see what they are offering in the way of NESs. They have a proper Nintendo NES and then there is a $20 clone machine. I looked up reviews for this guy nintendo-nes-retro-entertainment-system-silver-black and think it will work just fine. Of course, I will have to spend an exorbidant amount of money on a proper NES controller, none of those third-party ones for me.

In regards to other games that I want to pick up, Crystalis is definitely at the top of the list.

I never played it, but Journey to Silius has really great music.

I have plenty of fond memories of Journey of Silius as a child. I came back to it years later in my emulation days and felt it still held up.

I only rented it, but I liked the fast clip at which I was able to play Mad Max. I'm having trouble getting into Witcher III.

I started the Witcher III last year, but never got further than the first village you find. I just wasn't feeling it at that time.

I've always wanted to play Crystalis. I hear it's one of the great not-Zelda Zeldas. There's a GBC rerelease but I hear it's not as good as the original. I don't think it's ever been on Virtual Console either

As you can tell I'm really late in reading your blog but hey you finished Mad Max (I'm pretty sure you mentioned this in a comment on something I wrote)! I finished a week or two ago and I'm currently collecting the scraps, and I'm starting to think I'm hitting the Mad Max wall and ready to play something new. I do agree its one of my early favorites for Game of the Year
