Project Cars is a hard game to get into because of how unappealing some of the options are .

Yes! I have played some Forzas and no I don't like any of them. To me as a racing fan they feel clunky but then again I am not a huge sim person in general. But when I saw Project Cars I needed to buy it. It is great that I have it but there are some bugs I don't like.

For instance my car will suddenly just stop. Could be the game or a glitch. My car a f10000 gulf car started backpeadling backwards. Yes, that's right folks backwards. I have no fucking idea why.

The customizability is almost inane. You can customize the engine, the brakes and tyres (tires) the differential. Whatever the fuck that means. The everything . It is like test driving a taco and customizing all the amazing taco fixings on it. Yet, the taco is a car and the fixings are what was mentioned above. Project Cars though when you have setting lists from the Project Cars database is a gorgeous games. You actually feel the heart beat of the game when playing it. The tracks are gorgeous and despite some reviewers the rain is pretty. It does look odd when it clings onto the windshield but that's okay. Project Cars is also amazingly fun in that you can just leap into LMP3, LMP1, Shifter Karts, Karts 2000? But the career is immensley fun. For me I started in shifter Karts. Because we should all be like Drake and start from the bottom. Project Cars  tune list on the database is brilliant. Also, the options are daunting and you have to toy with traction slip and so many other options. Also, be aware that the settings out of the box as some people have called it, are fucking gutter trash. Trash! TRASH! Poopy, excrement of a poopy on a dog poopy on a cat-poopy on a horse poopy, on poopy- that pooped out whale poop bad!  So you need to adjust those and a great start is youtube videos, forums and just typing in the specific problem in Google. This is a racing sim and in a lot of ways it shows. It has a steep learning curve at least to me. Though, don't let that detract you from the cars and the brilliant racing you can do.

Online: The online is yuck if you don't tune your car properly. I was in some boxy BMW some series and I got rekt. Yes, the reason being the tune settings were atrocious. I fishtailed so much and I just gave up. It was frustrating because there's only a handful of tracks I am familiar with and cars. And this was just god awful. So tune your cars properly and your settings whether it be a wheel or PS4 controller, Xbox One controller. I am playing on the PS4. There are people in this game that seriously know what they're doing online. Just saying.

As a package this is one of the most challenging, amazing, driving sims I have ever played aside from Forza. But one thing they could do better with is really make the game's default settings work with the cars. Yeah , it is all well in good to use the car but come on make it work and then add the fine tunes in later. Again, first real racing sim I actually enjoy. Project Cars is a premiere racing simulator and it should not be missed. It is a true beauty of a game even with the glitches. The AI is greatly responsive as well. Which is awesome! An IGN reviewer said "You feel like a race car driver with the pressures of a real one." (According to IGN.com) You fucking do and it is brilliant. The cars all handle differently and you must get used to it. But I am highly loving the experience and the immediate fun. I will be sinking massive hours trying to learn the game and driving all around historic tracks.

I just don't like sims, and don't see me liking this one either. Since you ar also not generally a fan of sims and like this one however, I'll try the demo if I see it.

I bought this on sale and I like sims, but I haven't had a chance to really dive into it yet.  But you're motivating me to do so!

:) I am an evil bastard for motivating :)

Actually, I love motivating people to try new games or ideas or foods. So I guess I am not?
