The next generation of Pokemon is here!

Hello Pixlbit how are you? The Pokemon Direct arrived and with it brought exciting news!

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon was announced! Not much else was shown, outside some screens, but we'll most likely get new info later on. They'll be arriving on 3DS late 2016. These are brand new games which means it is the start of Generation 7. I'm really excited, can't wait for them!

Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be arriving tomorrow on the eShop, and you can transfer Pokemon from there to Pokemon Bank.

So, what do you think? Thanks for reading and later.

I'm pretty excited, my Sister getting Sun while I'll get Moon. I wish they had actually shown something other then a few moments of art for it.

I have never played a Pokemon game and I might be a little long in the tooth to start now but I'm still tempted. :)

I haven't played them since Red and Blue, but I'm tempted to jump back in for GO.

That Pokemon Direct hardly announced a dang thing.  They spent the first half of it just saying, 'hooray for us, we're 20 years old!' The only things they announced were Pokemon Sun and Moon and being able to put Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow critters in the Pokemon Bank.  Nothing about Pokken Tournament or Pokemon GO.  And a US release date of that Pikachu detective game woul've been nice.

I've gotten to the point now where I'm more interested in the Pokemon side games than the main games since they're all kind of the same.  But that's not really a bad thing.  For each new generation of kids, there is a new Pokemon game, and it's all new to them.  And why fix what isn't broken, right?  It's a little bit of my fault for ODing on the franchise back in the Red/Blue days, too.  But I kind of had to since I was being paid to write Pokemon articles for the newspaper.
