Adios PS3! You were great!

My PS3 is comatose. I've tried everything to revive it withough opening up the case and tinkering, which will be the next step. In a way, I'm kind of relieved its over. I don't plan on buying a new PS3 anytime soon, and in the end, I've mostly been playing old PSOne and PS2 games off PSN, which I can still play on my VITA, where I prefer to play classic games honestly. Not PS2 games so much, but I still have a working PS2 around the house anyway.

I didn't by a PS3 when it first came out. I actually stopped gaming around the PS3 launch and missed out on PS360 revolution until the tail end before new consoles released. I really enjoyed the PSP and PSVita as well as 3DS during that time and eventually moved on to PC gaming and Steam.

I can cross out a bunch of games from my backlog now I guess, since I have no options for playing them now, which is a relief. I also have a PS4 now, so I should be giving it more attention now, and it looks like the 3DS is still getting great releases.

I mean I did use it a lot for everything. I can't say I didn't get my moneys worth for it. Time for other games I guess.

I still haven't used my free trial for that. If the stream is decent, I might just subscribe to that instead of PS+.

Where I am, the stream was good. At my parents', it was terrible. Really depends on your connection.

Nope, you cannot play PS2 games on Vita. :P

I had to buy a new PS3 but then I have close to 1000 digital games for it. Yep, I can play the PSP and PS1 games on my PS TV or PSP but I have so many PS3 games there is no way I'm going to go without a working PS3. That would be like pissing away a shitload of money.

Most of my PS3 games are hardcopy, andI rarely go back and play them. Besides, I have lots more games to play on PC, and I can always play PSOne/PSP/Vita games on VITA where I normally play them anyway. I might eventually need to buy another PS3, but at the moment I'm not feeling nostalgic enough to do that yet.

I couldn't get rid of my PS3 because of Valkyria Chronicles. Oh wait, it's coming to PS4 soon. I'm sure I have a another reason to still keep it.

I feel very appreciative that my PS3 hasn't kicked the bucket yet and I have the original one that looks like a brick. It doesn't get much use anymore but I still love to use it every now and then.

That sucks about the PS3. My original crapped out on me a couple of years ago and the only thing I miss is my game save from when I earned a platinum on Leap Year.

The positive is that you still have a bunch of options when it comes to gaming so it isn't too bad.
