NES collectors would not think you are nuts. These games have stood the test of time, and there is no replacement for playing them on dedicated hardware. Emulators are convenient and free, but just not the same.

Look at that, I am so bad at BaD that I even dragged it into March. Shame on me.
I ordered an NES clone yesterday. I got the $20 one that was on GameStop.com along with a copy of Ducktales. That game better be amazing, I have heard so many good things about it. I am really getting into picking up these NES games and at the moment $20 is my tolerance for what I am willing to spend on a game. I know that there are plenty of people who may think I am nuts, but I spend upwards to $20 on downloadable indies all the time. It is all the same to me.
I have been playing Crimsonland on the Vita for the past couple of days. The game is a basic twin-stick shooter, but there are plenty of enemies and weapons and powerups to keep me interested for a while. I have spent just over 4 hours with the game so far and finished off the "campaign" on the normal difficulty setting. I will probably put another couple hours into it messing around with challenge stages... the ones that are tied to leaderboards.
That's all I have got for now... until GameStop gets a copy of Popeye in stock.
