I really want this game. If I hook up my tower again I can play it. My laptop....is 1.8 GHz and it's a 2.00 on the minimum requirements. It would have been a great on the go game too! Damn!!!!!
The One Where Everyone Hates Me and No One Wants To Dance

It's Sunday here. I sat down to play Stardew Valley at 10 am and it's now 10:20 pm and I've just managed to pry myself way. I don't think I've had that experience with a game since I was in high school.
Anyway, the game is great. If you like Harvest Moon style games, you'll love it. It's got a great core loop of sewing crops and selling them to buy money, and talking to people and trying to marry someone.
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There was a dancing festival. I rocked up and they said I could ask people to dance with them, so I walked up to the girl I'd been eyeing off. She said "No offense, but I really don't want to dance with you." Heartbroken, I walked around asking everyone. I got responses of "Ew, no," "Sorry I want to dance with someone else," and various other rejections until eventually I gave up and tried to go home - except the mayor was blocking the exit. So I had to stay and watch everyone else dance and be merry while I stuck around and became that guy who just has Ipod in listening to depressing post rock and trying not to cry.
I didn't go into town for the next few days, as I just spent all my time tending to my crops and sleeping. On the day before my $2000 set of crops was due for harvest, there was an earthquake. I lost all of them. Not only that but I had to spend the next day mending fences and making a new scarecrow.
So yeah. Stardew Valley is a game where you go to a dance and realise everyone hates you and you should probably kill yourself. 10/10.
