It’s late at night (got work in the morning at the time of writing this) and nothing else eventful has happened (well Mom had to leave town for something but that’s a different story for another time perhaps). So I’m going to quickly write about what I plan to do this coming weekend, outside of work, my moonlight job (two mobile game reviews in one night submitted), Pokemon (aiming for a complete Gen VI National Pokedex before Sun & Moon), work on ability mutations on Final Fantasy Explorers (stacks of 1 for a mutation is enough, right?), repurposing my laptop as an office/media machine… wow, um, am I ever going to play this space chicken guy?
As much as I like playing as Penny Fox since I’m more of a pusher I actually wanted to play a character whose primary attack is ranged. Some time ago I’ve unlocked Rocco when I was trying Awesomenauts again. After playing him I can say I won’t mind giving area control a go. Problem is that I kind of had some trouble playing the game. After uninstalling it I came to a conclusion the next day: I sucked at Awesomenauts because I was underutilizing the gamepad. The configuration I have maps the actions on the face buttons. What I should be doing is having the attack, jump, and skills mapped to the shoulder buttons and the shop, menu, scoreboard, and teleport to base to the face buttons. That way I can use both analog sticks: left to move and right TO AIM.
When I actually have the chance I’m going to reconfigure it. Right now I need to get ready for bed and get ready for work, the opinion article I’ll be writing this weekend, and the National Streetpass Weekend (hoh boy…).
Naturally, articles and reviews at the bottom. Till next time.
