Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a nice and cool Monday here in sunny Southern California, and it looks like it is going to be a warm day. After I type this up I’m planning on trying something new for my daily exercise and I downloaded this app called Couch to 5k. From what I heard from a friend it sounds like fun and something different to try so why not, plus it’ll add some spice to my usual 3 mile morning walks. Before I get into that I do need to do some updating on what I have been playing the past month
Last month I started four new games, and the only game I finished was Mad Max. I thought long and hard about playing until I unlocked the Platinum for that game but after realizing that I really don’t want to race in all Opus Magum’s and find every piece of scrap I uninstalled the game. Currently I have not installed a new game for me to take off of Mount Backlog.
In games I am currently playing:
Lego Avengers: Masters of Evil/Captain Marvel DLC Packs – PS4: I downloaded these last week and played a little bit before finishing off all the trophies for both
When I first went back to this game I had a little bit of trouble remembering what each character’s special moves and the location of each character in the character map. I forgot that I downloaded the two (or three) freebie character packs and they were added to the library so it looked different. Anyways after getting that sorted out (thanks Google) I was able to play through each piece of DLC twice to unlock all the trophies. A couple of them were as easy as setting a couple of characters together during free play or riding around Manhattan in a Sky Cycle. I think the next DLC is Ant Man in a month.
NCAA Football 14 – PS3: Central Michigan lost in a sim game with Boise that dropped them from 18th to 20th in the second week of the season and has since gone undefeated to now be 7-1 with an average score of around 45-10. My starting QB has been out since that Boise game with a high ankle sprain but the backup seems to have a cannon for an arm and I have three speedy wideouts that are currently faster than the majority of MAC secondary’s so there have been a lot of deep passes. Currently the Chipps are 4th in the Top 25.
Ryse: Son of Rome – Steam: Oh I do love this game. I’ve been playing this game for a bit on Steam and I think I am around 65% finished with the story. The game looks really good
And I can only imagine how good it looks on a desktop with tons of graphics power. The gameplay is ok, it gets repetitive with the finishing combos and I kind of figured out what the story is about before it starting to slowly release little nuggets here and there. It should be a fun game to finish, and I think I can finish it this week. After this game I’ll probably tackle my charity copy of Tomb Raider just to see how different it plays compared to the PS3 version I played.
Batman vs. Superman – Android: I installed this game this morning while watching the local news just to give a try and basically it’s an endless runner with a guy who has a ton of cars, and another guy who can fly. The controls seem loose and flighty while the game itself is nothing but a shameless plug for the flick (the home screen has links to watch the trailer and visit the homepage). It’ll be fun to play for a little bit before I get tired of it and uninstall it.
In other gaming stuff I’ve been spending a lot of time on the gamedeals page on Reddit (/r/gamedeals) and I really like that PC has a ton of different places to buy bundles of games as well as games that are deep discounted. Most of these games are indie stuff, and they don’t look bad but when I can find games for as low as .50 I get why people have huge Steam libraries. I think I mentioned it before but I also have the GOG version of Steam, as well as Origin. Are there any that I have missed that I should check out?
I also downloaded this app called Miitomo and linked it to my Nintendo account. From what I’ve seen you create Mii dress them up, answer some random questions, play Nintendo’s version of Plinko (go watch Price Is Right) and have them friend others from your Facebook and Twitter.
That’s my Mii! I wish this was a little more like the 360 guy where you can buy officially licensed stuff but hey this is still pretty nifty. My robot voice reads what I type in really well which is a plus, and I earn in game currency by answering questions and reading my friend’s responses.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good week!
That’s all for now, more later!
