Milk Isnt Worth The Trouble

So yesterdsay was a pretty much crappy day. I left my room for 5 mins and my kitten kids spilled milk on my 3DS.....So my lovely day was spent replacing my ruined 3DS with a new one. Had sell a bunch of games that while I didnt want to part with them, it had to be done. I did the transfer process and when I went to play one of my games a second ago none, of my save data is on it. So when I get home Ill have to figure that out. Why the hell does save data not transfer over? Nintendo should have gotten that changed with the new 3DS. I upgraded to a bigger SD card because I think im gonna go digital. To get the gold coins on the new reward system you pretty much have to buy digital so Nintendo pretty much helped with that choice.

Aw, sorry about your 3DS. I hate how everything is going digital with games. Gives more control to the companies and less to the consumer.

I agree, I kind of wonder why Nintendo went this route but then again Id probably get a headache hearing the explantion.

So far, it is sorted and for the most part fixed. I cant get my day off back but I have already gotten one of the games I sold back since it was on sale so today is definitly looking up.

You'd think game saves would be transfered as well as the games. Weird.

You would think so, you can imagine the pain and utter loss of life from my face when I checked Monster Hunter 4 and saw no character saves. Monster Hunter 4 is one game where losing a save file is pretty much gutting you and leaving you dead in a corner.

It was, but I figured out what I needed to do and all is well again! I have all my previous saves. That was a close call, I mean Im glad I didnt lose my digital library. My library is comprised of mostly stuff bought on the eShop so While I lost 4 physical games, I would have lost a ton more if I couldnt have transfered.

Hmmm, when I went from my launch 3DS to New 3DS everything transferred just fine. I have a ton of digital stuff now mostly because a lot of it was on sale and several games cannot be found in physical form anymore at least up here.

I dont understand it, my games and everything else transferred smoothly. However the save data was a whole different story. Now Nintendo is encouraging digital sales so your already on the right track.

I'm a little late so hopefully everything by now is up and running back to normal. I always thought the game saves were on the game itself, and if it was a digital game they would be in the file during the transfer process. Hopefully everything did work out for you.
