Morning Pixlpeeps! I have to get this latest entry written out as soon as possible because HOA sent out a notice that the electricity will be out for a couple of hours this morning so I figured why not head to the mall. So how was your weekend? My weekend was quiet and I managed to avoid the majority of the Coachella Music Festival folks with the exception of last Friday when I was roaming around Walmart and saw a bunch of hipster looking kids with carts full of alcohol, because alcohol and heat seem to go well together. Anyways I watched a little bit of the YouTube stream on Saturday night and I was disappointed that during the Guns N’ Roses set they only streamed two songs. Zedd, Ice Cube, and Silversun Pickups were pretty good but I think everyone watching the stream waited for one act and to only get Welcome to the Jungle and November Rain was a letdown. Anyways let’s get started.

Tomb Raider – Steam

 

I bought this game a couple of weeks ago for a buck for charity and my main reason was to see how pretty this game was on PC compared to my initial play through on PS3. The game ran smoothly there were some spots where I did my “how did I get through this” question. Without using YouTube I managed to fly through this game and I’m seriously debating going back in and finishing up the side mission stuff. I’m now waiting for a sale on the most current Tomb Raider game so I can jump into that storyline.

Colin McRae Rally – Steam

 

Currently I am 56% finished with the career mode and I’m on the first mixed championship. I played the original on PS1 which I enjoyed, and this remastered version is no different. This is one of the straight up rally games instead of the funky Dirt games that have other types of racing in them. I don’t listen to the copilot but I do pay attention to the markers above the screen. Hopefully by this weekend this game will be moved to the finished list on my Steam account.

 

Grid Autosport – Steam

 

I’m almost finished with my 11^th season of Touring leg of my career and I’m close to hitting the top of the progress meter and ultimately getting a driver position with the top team. This game I enjoy in spurts rather than sitting down and investing a couple of hours at a time.

 

Office Battle – Steam

 

This is a game I think I picked up for .50 and have been playing nonstop. I’m currently stuck on the second boss who always seems to get me right before I knock out his energy meter. If you haven’t heard of this game, you are basically this guy who fights waves of coworkers. Defeated coworkers drop weapons like a trashcan helmet, water bottle shield, and a wine bottle used as a club. You go through various levels like endurance where you have to survive for 3 minutes, or you have a set level of coworkers you have to defeat. There’s no story you just jump in, and start swinging. There are also upgrades that you can do to your character to make them stronger. At some point I’ll get them all and maybe be able to get past this boss.

 

Project Cars – PS4

I powered up my PS4 after I think a week and a half just to see a Marvel Avengers Update. While waiting for that to download I took in a couple of races in Project Cars. Video Game Chris is still in the 250cc Kart series (no turtles in this one) and I needed a lap or three to get used to the steering in this game compared to Colin McRae and Grid. It is much more delicate and I found my kart in the grass a couple of times. I eventually got the hang of it and proceeded to win two races before the update finished. I need to get back into this game.

Speaking of that update I guess Lego is going to add more DLC (thanks GameStop guys for reminding me to the buy the Season Pass).

 

There are three new levels that are coming to Lego Marvel Avengers, and I’m most excited about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. First let me say PLEASE make this an actual Lego set we can buy! I can’t wait to see the whole gang as Lego minifigures. Coulson, and Mockingbird are already in the game but having Agent May, Fitz, Simmons, Daisy, Mac, Hunter, and Lincoln would be a lot of fun.

 

PS4 To PC Streaming

Last week with the latest PS4 software upgrade, users are now able to stream their PS4 to Mac and PC. It runs just like streaming to the Vita except you have to connect a PS4 controller to the computer. There really is no lag and to try it out I think I played a little bit of Lego Marvel Avengers

 

I’ll probably utilize this more when I want to play something while wanting to have a TV show or sporting event play on the TV.

 

Other Game Stuff

• I powered up my 3DS after a couple of months, and it still has three bars of juice. I can’t find my plug for my Vita to give that a charge
• I’m visiting r/gamedeals way too often, and there are a ton of game bundle deals
