Spring Cleaning Success... Mostly!

Well, I'm done cleaning the trash off the floors and doing basic organization of all the stuff in my room, so tomorrow is doing the shelves/stuff off the ground, dusting and continuing to organize all this crap. Truth be told, it wasn't as bad as I thought, though I still have a half-full XL black trash bag and a TON of crap I didn't want to throw away still around. Most importantly though, I found all my games ... except Pokemon Blue, and there's still packaging missing, but hey, it's mostly there!

I also found random cool stuff like POGS, magazines (MAD, Revolver, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and of course more EGMs), childhood books I couldn't remember the titles of (Lon Popo anyone?), High School Scrapbooks, etc., but there's too much to get to it all in a blog, and I'm still hoping I find some of my old CDs, and a little sad I haven't yet, so I'll just tell you what I found gaming-wise.

I found all my DS games, each with all their packaging and manuals intact, as well as a couple styluses and a screen cleaner. So I pretty much found everything.

Also found all my GBA games, though only the box for Zero Mission, which does have its instruction manual. So I have all four games, just need three of the packages.

Found Pokemon Pinball; can't find my GBC, but it fits in the GBA, just need some batteries.

Found Gameboy, but no Pokemon Blue.

Found all my N64 games, but only found the packaging for DK64, Majora's Mask, and Ocarina. Still need the four other packages, but DK64, Shadows of the Empire, and 1080 Snowboarding I have manuals for at least.

Found a sleeve for my Gameboy Player start-up disc for Gamecube .. I didn't even remember that existed, and thought it was just the clear case, so that was a nice surprise.

I'll try and do a "collection" blog or something if my phone cooperates and my Spring cleaning is officially done, if I can. Anyway, I found a lot of the crap I was missing, so I'm happy ... now to get this dust out of my lungs.

I found a lot of stuff when I was unpacking after our move to Arizona. I have pretty much everything I own catalogued in my head now, though its not as organized as it could be. But it's in pretty good shape for me!

Yeah, I'm cataloging as I go along, have my CDs in an Excel file with whether I have the CD, the case, and the lyircs sheet. Probably will do the same with my games, books, and movies, but my movies and games aren't hard to keep track of in my head, and I have a gigantic pile of books of all varieties that's going to be a bitch to catalog.

It does, although now all I need is to find Pokemon Blue, but I'm starting to think maybe I sold it and the GBC. It's certainly possible.

I have lost allof my school yearbooks during various moves over the years. Fortunately not my family photos. That's cool you are finding all those treasures as you go. What is that Gameboy Player thing? I have a vague memory of it,but can't remember how it worked.

It's a black box that connects to the bottom of the Gamecube, you can put a GBA game in it, and insert the Gamecube disc it comes with that interacts with the player to enable you to play your GBA games on your TV, with the Gamecube controller.

Ironically, I have a copy of Pokemon Blue missing, I need to find that too. I've been doing some spring cleaning as well, didn't find anything noteworthy but found some neat little things. Hope you find Pokemon Blue, and me too, that's the first GBC game I ever had and the game that introduced me to rpgs.

It was the first game I owned for the original Game Boy myself, all the other ones were my brother's, and it's one of the only RPGs I remember with much fondness (there's a couple others, but JRPGs are still not my thing for the mostpart), so we do indeed have similar experiences with this game.

Only I'm starting to think I might have sold it and my GBC. Not sure.

You've inspired me to start digging through my boxes and organizing. Why didn't you that sooner, Joe? I start work on Tuesday!

My brother once set a score of 6 billion on Pokemon Pinball. We never could beat that score and it pretty much made the game useless lol. I probly said that already though. Damn my horrible memory! Yell

I have a terrible memory too, so I don't remember if you said that or not either. IN any case, now I've got to go and try to get that score! haha
