Games Beaten

-The Legend of Zelda: TriForce Heroes (3DS)

TriForce Heroes is a very different kind of game compared to Four Swords Adventures. It has shorter, more puzzle-ish levels with a heavy emphasis on the secondary weapons and cooperation. The costume system, both crafting them and choosing what to wear, adds some good extra goals and a bit of light strategy. The lack of voice chat hurts, especially in the tough endgame (we chatted via our PS4 while playing). Overall a very fun 3-player co-op game, especially if you have a good way to communicate.

-Dead Space 2 (360)

I'm not sure if I like Dead Space 2 better than the first game or not—I think the atmosphere was done a little better the first time and some of the novelty has worn off—but man, this is a great game. There is lots of variety to the weapons and the enemies are DANGEROUS. New Game+ is tempting here. I loved the story, specifically the internal struggles of the main character. He's some degree of insane and he knows it. One of the secondary characters is great too. Highly recommended.

Games Bought

Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard are the only games on the "paid money specifically for these games" list...and they came together! PS+ had some interesting games—Dead Star (PS4), Savage Moon (PS3), and Shutshimi (PS4/Vita)—and some less interesting ones—A Virus named TOM (Vita), I Am Alive (PS3), and Zombi (PS4), which I still intend to play on the Wii U since that is what it was designed for.

Now Playing - there are a ton this month!

-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)

I've really enjoyed playing this game. The motion controls feel really good and the dungeons have been topnotch. Pretty sure I'm coming into the home stretch too.

-Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

Nearly done with my first playthrough of the campaign. Man, Andross is hard!

-Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (Vita) (PS+)

This is the sequel to 999 and the story is totally sucking me in.

-Broforce (PS4) (PS+)

My wife and I are playing this. So much dumb fun lol.

-Mega Man 3 (MM Legacy Collection—3DS)

Three more Robot Masters to go. I love the slide!

-Destiny: The Taken King (PS4)

Enjoying the April update. Gotten some great gear in Iron Banner this week!

-Freedom Wars (Vita) (PS+)

My new weekly multiplayer game. There's a surprising amount of story here!

ZombiU is one of the main reasons I wanted a Wii U.

Yeah, seems like not having the Gamepad really hampers it's coolest features

Exactly. The other way just seems like another zombi game.

I almost bought 999 last week. The sales person at Jay Street VG raved about it.

You should! The story totally deserves whatever hype the guy fed you.

I went back a week later and it was gone. Well, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Way to remind me that I never finished Skyward Sword.  The only problem is that I am not sure I really want to at this point.  I set it down about a year ago, and don't really remember where I left off.

I do want to get back into Destiny at some point, but I just find it difficult to find the time.  Especially since I want to clean up my Vita, and replay some classic Xbox games, and Tomb Raider and my biennial playthrough of the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I'm not sure why people are so down on Skyward Sword. Yeah, it's linear but the dungeons are really good and the motion controls work well and it's dang pretty for a Wii game. I think you could get back into it too. The sword spirit lady is always willing to gab about what's going on if you ask her. Besides, I don't know if we'll ever see a release of this game if Nintendo moves away from motion controls with the NX. Might as well finish it while you can.

I try not to think about how many other games I could have finished with the time I've spent on Destiny lol.

don't get me wrong.  I really enjoyed the time I spent with Skyward Sword.  There was just a mid-dungeon boss that was giving me a hard time and so I set it down.  Then I think my brother-in-law wanted the game to finally play, so I gave it to him.

Destiny is just so good though, I don't regret the time I spent with it at all.
