 So Uncharted 4 came out today. I can't afford it since I have like 12 bucks in my bank account until next week (yay car registration) so I'll have to wait a bit.

 On the plus side, new Aesop Rock, new Radiohead, and New Death Grips. All are fucking great, so enjoy some tracks.

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit

Firstly, Death Grips is making catchy music that's not afraid to occasionally be super abrasive. The song posted above is the closest they've ever come to pop. This is actually a good thing.

 Though I don't know if we can call Death Grips Hip Hop anymore, because now they're like a weird mix of psychodelic punk/experimental electronic hip hop. There's a lot of guitar on this album, and I'm reminded of early hardcore but with a lot of psychadelic shit thrown in especially in the song below:

Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool

Yeah, if you like more aggressive, hyped up Radiohead, you're going to be disappointed. This is the poppiest they've been since In Rainbows, but the music here is a lot softer. The apart from Identikit, the song I posted above is the most bombastic you're getting.

 Instead, you're getting a whole lot of ballad style tracks. Honestly, I'm perfectly okay with that since Radiohead has been excelling at depressing the fuck out of me since I was 12. It feels like if the ambiance of albums like Kid A and Amnesiac were created with real instruments.

Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid 

 This is a grower, but after a lot of listens, it may be my favourite Aesop Rock album. It's definitely his easiest to read, and his most personal by far. The topics include songs about isolation, a humerous song about his first trip to a therapist, a song about his regret over not continuing his visual arts, stories about his brother, and my personal: a song about his cat named Kirby that is fucking adorable.

I love the new radio head.  Very beautiful.  I also enjoy that they're not so absolutely morbid anymore.  Music can describe complex stuff and theirs certainly does now.

I've been listening to new Radiohead since the singles dropped. It's very good! There is also new Deftones music out, if I remember you liking them too? Well I do anyway.

I listened to the new Deftones album but I didn't really dig it for some reason. I'll have to give another go at some point, as it may be more of a grower.

I can relate on care registrations. Maryland has a godawful car registration process where not only do you have to pay a shit ton of money, your car has to pass a 60-point inspection where unless your car is fresh off the assembly line, you're going to be paying hundreds of dollars for the most petty repairs possible. You know why my car failed inspection? Its back bumper cover got dinged while I was at a doctor's appointment and stuck 1/16 of an inch (I measured it) out. The rationale was that, "well, a woman could be walking alongside your car and get her skirt caught on my bumper." If someone's that close to a moving car, they've got worse problems to deal with than a slightly dinged bumper. But that's what the state's law says, and I had to pay $170 before they'd sign a passing inspection certificate. That was before paying several hundred dollars to the state for Maryland license plates.

That's ridiculous. We have that system too. I haven't got hit too bad for it in a while but they do inspections when you go to get your license, and because I had a crack in my windshield, I couldn't do the test, but still had to pay for it, and had to book an appointment and pay for the next one.
