I used to really enjoy shooters, but these days they don't do much for me. Overwatch seems very well done, but I have plenty of other stuff I'd rather throw my time into. Now Doom on the other hand might get a play, but only on PC and only if I can get it super cheap.
Overwatch: I love everything about it but the game itself

So Overwatch officially launches tomorrow, and much of the gaming world will be rejoicing. I on the other hand, am pretty indifferent, because I hate playing online first-person shooters. In fact, I don't really like first-person shooters at all. I tolerate the odd one here and there if it's one of the only worthwhile games during a console launch (Resistance: Fall of Man), or if the story or setting really grabs me (Bioshock), but other than that I can't stand them. I always hated Golden Eye, and Halo, and Destiny, and whatever else my cool friends were playing because I just don't enjoy them enough to get good at them, and that really becomes a problem when the only modes are online multiplayer.
So here comes Blizzard with the coolest set of characters outside a fighting game. Winston and Tracer and Reaper and D.Va and Widowmaker and Soldier 76 and the rest just ooze personality, as shown by the four short films which revealed the world of Overwatch to us. Blizzard has always been masters of the CGI movie, and these vignettes were no exception. Sure, they were mostly predictable as far as the writing goes, but they were very well done and served their purpose, which was to generate excitement for the game. And it worked. If ever there was going to be a game to get me to play an online FPS, this would be the one. But I won't. I just don't have the time or the patience to learn the game, so I'll just wait until Activision Blizzard signs a movie deal a la Warcraft, and on that day I'll be as excited as all the other Overwatch fans will be tomorrow.
