As I said to you on Miitomo triple digit temps in Canada would kill us. 100 Celsius is 212 Fahrenheit. The lakes would boil and we'd all burn.
Quick Hits: Why Is It So Hot?

Hello Pixlpeeps! I have to say this week went by fast and I am ready to just relax this weekend. The weather on the other hand
Yeah there is no way I’m going outside today. I was seriously debating on going to a local thrift store because they have additional 10, 20, 30% off based on the color of the price sticker and the best part is that their CDs are .50 cents. I was going to stock up on Classical CDs. Speaking of CDs a couple of days ago I noticed one of my CDs didn’t make it onto this laptop’s iTunes library even though I copied over everything. I guess it was one of those weird copies where it copied over to the old laptop’s hard drive instead of the external drive. After I finish this I might start going through the library to see if any other CDs are missing.
It’s been a month since I started adding my vinyl collection to my iTunes library and I think I’ve hit a pretty good groove. I would add maybe two or three albums onto iTunes, and then copy them over to my phone to listen to. Yeah I can hear the record nerds going nuts about this. I listen to most of my music on the go so it’s nice having new stuff on the phone. Anyways while going through some 45s I forgot I had this
Looking at the price tag I bought this at Goodwill three or four years ago. I found it to be easier to rip LP’s/12” Singles, over 45s. With the bigger formats I spend more time looking through discogs for information, while on 45s 2-3 minutes and the song is done. With my current approach I think I could finish adding my LP/12” singles part of my vinyl collection to iTunes by the end of the month (hopefully.) After that it’ll be the shoebox full of 45s.
In May I added 42 albums to my iTunes library
And in my singles portion I added 64 12”, and 45s to my library
A couple of 45s I bought in bulk were beat to hell and there was no way they could be added to the library.
In my unplayed playlist I was at 12,387 and for this week I am at
Yeah 12,488 is a bit much, but I since I’ve started in my groove of listening to the new stuff on the go, that number will drop soon enough.
I need to go through my podcasts again because I am at least a week or two behind. One podcast I’m really digging that I will keep in the rotation is the I Am Rapaport podcast by Michael Rapaport. The slang, content, and the back and forth is hilarious. This might be my new Adam Carolla podcast.
When not listening to music I’ve started watching a couple of shows on the WWE Network because I want to explore what else it has to offer other than Pay Per Views, and NXT.
Camp WWE
Camp WWE is an adult cartoon where Vince McMahon runs a summer camp where the campers are 8 year old versions of the superstars. The only real voices are Vince, Ric Flair (WOOOOOOO), and Sgt. Slaughter. At first I was skeptical about the premise of the show, but after watching a couple of episodes its pretty funny. Ric Flair tries to cheer up young Rock by taking him to the Strip Club, and every other word is WOOOOOO. John Cena is the kid who is really friendly but it drives Vince crazy, and Triple H seems to love Vince and Stephanie equally while getting on Vince’s nerves. The odd thing is that there is a disclaimer in the beginning of each episode while the company makes their money off of adults beating each other up.
Table for 3
I might have talked about this show before but in case you missed it, Table for 3 is a show where three wrestlers sit around a table talking about their stories while eating dinner. It’s really interesting to hear old stories from the road, what goes on in the locker room, and their thoughts about today’s wrestling.
I’m still watching Game of Thrones, as well as the Challenge, and I’ve thrown in some YouTube content in there. One guy I watched on YouTube was complaining about Hotel California being the most overplayed song on the radio…but loves the Beatles. Hello Pot, have you met Kettle?
Pickups
The only pickup I had this week was when on the way back from LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) my cousin and I stopped at a random mall to check out their GameStop. I wasn’t really going to buy anything until I saw this game and I thought it was worth trying for $4
So far I’ve played only the tutorial and part of the first mission but it’s a racing game where you’re a cop and you have to stop the bad guy using your car, driving skills, remote controlled car that is a bomb (remember Dirty Harry? Like that) and other things. It tries to be open world but it isn’t, especially after I tried to escape by going into a tunnel, that happened to be a wall. Oh well, the main reason I bought it was because it was called Autobahn Polizei and I thought it would be like the old Playstation game The World’s Most Dangerous Police Chases (remember that show?)
Alright Pixlbit I am off. My weekend has started and I want to rip a record before lunch so have a good weekend and if it is hot as heck in your area stay cool and drink lots of water.
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
For today’s song of the week this song has been stuck in my head for over a week now so I’m sharing it. Have a good weekend
