I just had an idea while misreading your blog: "World Funkiest Police". Police who funk.
I really need to clean out some of my games I'm not playing too. But I keep meaning to play them. IT's kind of nuts.
Poor Rod and Todd.

Good morning and happy Monday Pixlpeeps! I am currently doing my monthly cleaning of the laptop where I go through the My Downloads folder and see what needs to be moved to the external hard drive and what needs to be erased. I need to start going through my Steam library because there are a ton of games I’m not playing and they don’t need to live on the hard drive until I’m ready to tackle them. Also I should uninstall the games I finished, except for maybe Rocket League and Ryse. I kind of want to add Tomb Raider to that list but then I’m just becoming a digital hoarder and I know I won’t go back to that game.
I’m currently copying over the ripped vinyl to the external. Wav files take a bit to move so I have some time to kill so why not update you good people on what has been going on in terms of gaming and what I played this past month.
So in May I started eight games, and three pieces of DLC, and I finished one game and two of the three DLC. At some point (hopefully soon) I will go back and 100% the Lego DLC, but like I said before I’m just not into the Lego game genre right now. I also need to get back into that groove from earlier this year where every game I played I finished but I like trying out different stuff and I get caught up and forget about the game (remember when I was into modding GTA IV?)
In other games I’ve been playing
Just Cause 3 – Steam
I don’t think I’ve done an actual mission in a while. I’ve been too busy wreaking havoc on this island nation and I’m starting to try the little side missions where you can upgrade your gear. I remember using the claw being easier to pull yourself into the air with in JC2, but in 3 it feels different. Maybe its behind an upgrade wall where I have to do more side missions. I go back to this game later on today after I do some monthly digital cleaning.
NBA 2K15 – PS4
So over the weekend I finally played through the rest of the Finals where the Milwaukee Bucks swept through the playoffs and became NBA Champions. After the season I let go of 5 players from the roster because I wanted to get younger and faster. Since I had three picks in the first round of the NBA Draft it was easy to fill those roster spots. I actually ended up with an extra pick because I drafted a Power Forward and got a trade offer from Memphis for their #1 pick which was after my pick, and Zack Randolph and his one year contract. It was a fantastic deal because I could use another inside presence and after his one year I can let him go to free agency or re-sign him. I also made a big splash in free agency signing Demar Derozan away from Toronto with a four year contract. Having Demar and Jabari run the fast break makes easy transition baskets in my game. I am also close to having enough credits to buy the franchise and hopefully I can get there before the all-star break.
Autobahn Polizei – 360
So when I was looking at the box art I was picturing something like the old Playstation game World’s Most Dangerous Police Chases but in open world form. What I got was close to open world but funky. Let me explain: the game universe is a sandbox to a certain point, and it seems the area that’s open is a couple of streets. I wasn’t expecting much considering I spent $4 dollars. The environment isn’t bad except benches and phone booths are huge (like car size) so the scale is a bit off in some parts. Also the various pieces look blocky. Think high graphics PS2 game.
After playing through what seemed like an endless tutorial, I finally got to try the open world and look for missions. Turns out you have to do one mission first. I got halfway through before losing interest because every time it seemed like I stopped the suspect, they just kept driving off, and after that endless tutorial I wasn’t having any of it and just shut the game off.
Simpsons Tapped Out – iOS
I started playing this game again and when I updated it I was greeted by this
At first I thought the game wasn’t going to be updated (it’s been running for I think four years now) but there is a new Chili Cookoff game, and at every 40k experience I level up. I went from level 60 to
Over the weekend by just sending the Springfield folks to their jobs and buying the giant pyramid for 100 donuts.
Well Pixlbit you have been updated with what’s been going on. I’m still waiting for the vinyl singles to be copied over before I can see which Steam games I can live without until I’m ready to play. Have a good week! Oh and so far I have cleaned out 80GB of space and this is before I tackle the games in Steam.
*Bonus: I saved over 100GB by just removing 15 games. I wonder if I uninstall all the Warhammer stuff how much more space I can save.
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
I downloaded Peggle to my Xbox 360 the other week because it was free and was a little worried I didn't have enough space until I saw the file size. It was like under 200 MB. I haven't seen a Xbox Live downloadable game that small since, well, the first year of Xbox 360. Nothing's under a gigabyte these days.
