The first two main Ratchet & Clank sequels on the PS2 were great. Probably some of the best 3-D platforming of that generation. No disrespect to Mega Man Legends, but Ratchet & Clank is what a 3-D Mega Man game should've been. I loved the hidden Insomniac office levels in R&C 2 and 3. Have you seen those?

I didn't really bounce around too much after finishing up Axiom Verge. I ended up settling into another game in the vein of Axiom Verge, Metroid and handheld Castlevania... Shadow Complex.
I played through Shadow Complex back when it first came out in 2009 and it was easily one of my favorite games of that year. I had blast playing through it again on the PS4 and there had been enough time since my last playthrough that I had forgotten enough of the game and story. This made the experience all the more enjoyable because it was as if I was playing a brand new game. The biggest complaint that I have with the game is when you are trying to aim at enemies in the background. It doesn't break the game, but it is somewhat frustrating when you die because you can't seem to target the enemies shooting at you.
Years ago I was happy to learn that one of the local libraries carried some videogames. They had a copy of Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando. I had never played Ratchet and Clank, but had read up on the first game through countless magazines and knew that I was bound to love Going Commando. So, I requested the game and borrowed it from the library for about a week. Over the course of that week, I played the game and beat it. I then started a NG+ and played it over and over again. So, over the course of that single week, I played the game a half dozen times.
Why do I bring up this story of my experience with Going Commando? Well, the same exact situation happened with the new Ratchet and Clank. I beat the game and started the NG+ and beat it over and over again. I have come back to Going Commando since and have done the same exact thing, so I am going to say that the 2016 Ratchet and Clank could be one of my all-time favorite games, of all-time.
Oh, and I nearly forgot. I started up Saints Row IV yesterday and have been having a blast.
