I played some Riviera: The Promised Land. I liked it. I need to go finish it.
I can't wait to play Red Faction Armageddon. Looks like a ton of fun shooting rainbows out a unicorn's butt.

This week has been a good one for my hobby. Tuesday I found a few games for cheap: one from years ago and a collection of games.
I found Icewind Dale at Goodwill for a low price and chose that over the Master Grade Gunpla of one of the Rick Dias units that was being sold for $5. If I see that kit again I might pick it up for my friend back in Ohio. Red Faction Complete was discovered at Wal-Mart of all places but I found it at the price of $10 (though I made a thread of tweets about online activation on Twitter). I got the collection for a few reasons: I like the gameplay from Parker's Mind and enjoyed the machinima itself and this:
And on Thursday (yesterday by the time I actually post this?) I found the most awesome thrift store in this city. This place had just about everything, even Star Wars figures. There was quite a bit but these are the games I got:
Riviera was a game I heard about some time ago and I remember wanting to play it. While I think I got it confused with another GBA game I think I'll like this one since the gameplay (about 2 minutes in) and the lore (watched the entire intro) got me interested. I've borrowed Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate from the library and I've been thinking about grabing a copy from time to time. I used the $25 I was going to use to put on Pokemon Moon (should still be able to get it this November) to buy it and I think it's worth it. Now I just need to figure out how to properly cook the meat this time.
Speaking of hunting monsters I've finally spent a bit of time online with Final Fantasy Explorers. It was a neat experience. I did have some dropped frame rates when the two I was questing with were using their crazy abilities but the game ran fine otherwise. I should put some time in Saturday night.
Till next time.

Could go for those physical versions of Icewind Dale and also Baldur's Gate, mostly because they've removed the original versions from Gog, and after certain fiasco involving Beamdog, i'm not giving money to them and their remasters of those games.
I have the original Wii version of Monster Hunter 3, but due to inexperience with the mechanics, i found the game to be daunting. I think I can play it better now, but i'm wondering if I should get the Wii U version instead since it still has online and it's the definitive experience.
