Good morning Pixlpeeps! I hope you good people had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the week. This past weekend I changed up my gaming routine a bit and I powered up my 3DS XL for some gaming, and to be shocked that the battery still had 70% of its juice since I last powered the dang thing up. Before we get into that let’s check out my progress in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Currently I am around 88.8% finished with the game. I unlocked all 256 characters (I believe that’s the number) and I finished off all 12 in game races. I am currently just finishing up the random jobs for the empire, bounty hunting missions, droid missions, and the fun general missions. These are all short and they usually involve my character doing a mission the in game character doesn’t want to do like find helmets, get the parade music, and the usual shoot down the enemy.

I have sunk about 23 hours into the game and I have 34/49 achievements. The rest of them are simple, and are made up of just finishing the missions, while a couple of them are using various figures in different sections.
I did encounter a glitch that bugs me. When using the set waypoint in the free roam sections, sometimes the cursor does not show up. It’s usually four triangles around a circle but other times you don’t know if you actually selected that point on the map.
As for buying the Season Pass I am unsure if I want to continue playing this game. I think by the time I hit 100% I will have had my fill of LSW: Force Awakens so I might just skip out on paying the $10 for DLC.
NBA 2K16: MJ Edition – Steam
The Aztecs suffered two losses before the All Star Break, and what is worse is that both loses came at home. The first was against the New Orleans Pelicans in overtime, when no shots were falling for the Aztecs. The second was against the Bulls again in overtime where the Bulls were just unstoppable. It was rough but it happens. The Aztecs were also quiet on the trade deadline because the two players I thought about moving were injured and can’t be traded. Blah. Oh well I will wait until free agency to grab some missing pieces and the draft. I re-signed my Power Forward so my PF and C positions are solid. I think I’m going to keep Collison at point, but I am unsure about the SG and the SF. SF might be fine with Rudy Gay, but I’d like a more athletic SG.
Also I tinkered with the uniforms for a couple of games. The uniforms are two color the front is different from the back, kind of like the later Vince Carter Raptors era with the stripe on the sides separating them.
The Home Uniforms

The Road Uniforms

This look was throwing me off so I got rid of the color on the backs and went with one color, and then after a couple of games I went back to the original uniforms. It’s fun to tinker with the looks so currently I am making some cross sport designs for the basketball team. Here is one I have for baseball night

A cross between the LA Angels and the Aztecs. This should be fun.
Pokemon Go – iOS

I’m pretty sure we were all greeted by this screen when firing this game up for the first time. I thought it would be fun to give this game a try and see if it would stick in the phone’s games folder. For those of you who haven’t tried you’re a Trainer and you walk around your environment and every so often Pokemon would appear and you flick the Pokeball at them to catch’em.

My first catch in my house.
Since I live in a small town everything is spread out so it isn’t as easy to find your Pokemon. The one plus is the local gym is at the Carl’s Jr. (Hardees for you folks not on the West Coast)

The idea sounds fun, get some exercise while playing a game but the drawbacks were it’s a battery hog because of the GPS, and while walking around stores I noticed people with the phones up trying to catch their little animals. At this point I was done. I didn’t want to look like these folks. I didn’t want to stop what I was doing because some random made up animal is in the vicinity and I need to collect it, and what’s worst of all is people on my timelines talking about how they caught so and so. Oh and now there are reports folks are playing this while they drive. WTF! If I’m going to play a Pokemon game I want to play it on a dedicated gaming device, not walking around in triple digit heat, and not bothering people at the mall, or in stores.

After a couple of days the game has been removed from my phone. For you folks who play it, I wish you nothing but enjoyment and I hope you catch all the little critters. For me I’m done with the game.
Thumb Drift – iOS

I started playing this time waster last night while listening to the news and draining my battery so I can charge it and have a full battery in the morning. There’s nothing ground breaking in this freemium game: You steer the car by moving your finger on the screen

You collect coins and you unlock levels by driving certain distances

Every so often you will encounter an image or a 15 sec ad and you are back playing the game. To remove ads the game is $3, and if you want a coin doubler it’s $2, so for $5 you have a full on game on your phone. Not bad but I don’t see myself spending any real cash on this game. Like I said it’s a fun time waster but I can put that $5 towards a game I know I can enjoy instead of something I will only play when standing in line or draining my battery so I can charge it.
Alright Pixlpeeps, I am off to find some breakfast. Have a good week!
That’s all for now, more later!
