Defiance and Injustice Update

I wrote a previous blog about pre ordering both of these titles and now its time to do a lil update on them. Defiance released today and for my area, it wasnt a good release day. Not anything personal with the game but we had some bad storms roll through for some of the day and internet + storms is not a good combo. So I actually havent gotten to do much with it, but I like what I had done/seen. im excited to get back to it and continue working on my character.

Injustice is still waiting to be released on April 16th. That day can not get here any quicker, I played the demo and it has been my downfall. Im glad I put the 5 bucks down for my pre order. I see Injusitce going pretty far. I played all 3 characters on the demo, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Lex Luthor. Wonder Woman has 2 fighting stances, she has her whip one which she levitates of the ground and she has her sword/shield which keeps both her feet planted square on the ground. She seems to move quicker with her whip while her sword combo makes her movements a bit more slower. Nothing super bad because if you learn her moves well enough you can prolly turn her in a deadly character. Batman is super fast, you can mix and make combos pretty well wih him and he is one of those characters you dread fighting has a strong CPU because once he gets a going, you have to really fight tooth and nail to get him stopped. Lex is your heavy type which I personally hate, but old Lex wasnt too bad using. He is another one that if you learn a lot of good combos, he can be a deadly weapon character. Im really excited to play the full game and not to mention I really wanna play as Raven, Harley, Joker, and even Catwoman once it releases. While I personally did not like DC Vs Mortal Kombat, I loved the Joker in that damn game, it was just way too much fun playing as him. I think Injustice will repair the damage that game did as well to a lot of the fans. If you havent tryed out Injustice yet, the demo is out now on PSN and Xbox Live for gold members.

I look forward to Injustice as well. I love the new Mortal Kombat so nether-realm has my trust thus far!

They have my trust as well, I was soo happy and impressed with the new Mortal Kombat. I think the studio its self will be around a good time as long as they stick to making great games.

Was rainy most of the day here in Desoto as well. Injustice does look fun, saw the trailer for it again the other day before Argo.

I tried the demo and enjoyed it alot. I didn't play as Lex but I did love playing as Wonder Woman and Batman. Mostly Batman and I was better at using him, and you're right, he's pretty deadly when you're up against him. Loved his special when he get's the Batmobile to run you over, that sold me even more. He's going to be my main fighter, next to Power Girl, Raven, and Catwoman. Hope they add Blue Beetle, would be cool if they added some lesser known heroes.

They still have 4 DLC planned ones so you might get your wish, I hope you do! Im still holding out for Starfire, I know they have Cyborg and Raven but Starfire would make it perfect. I think my 2 mains will be Raven and Harley for the most part.

Well im in Austin and we got the hell beat out of us with thoughs same storms, make sure when you get Defiance to update me on length and how good this game really is I have heard good things but want to know what im getting before I shell out $60.

Right now Im loving Defiance, they really did a good job with it. I havent even had any type of lagg issues with it. They also made the Ego program, which is like your guide/helper in the game actually good. She isnt annoying and she kind of has a personailty to her so for now its getting a good review. I will state this though, it is an online only game and you need to be able to spare 10gbs of space for it. Im gonna try to play more over my 2 days off starting thursday and write a review of it all by friday night.

Everything i've seen of Injustice looks awesome. I'm just not sure I wanna drop $60 on another fighting game. I'm still plugging away at DOA5. I think i'll wait for reviews and if it has a strong single player campaign, I'll grab it after a price drop. Graphics look absolutely gorgeous.

I understand that completely, Im actually waiting till games get closer before pre ordering, especially fighting games because of SC5. I wish I had known what I was getting into before I placed 80$ down for it. The extras were nice but that game itself was in now way worth 60 bucks. I had DOA5 and loved it, I really liked the way they did the story mode for it. I wrote a review for it on 1up sometime after it released. Its on my re buy list but so are a ton of other games,lol

I'm interested by Injustice because of the characters. I like the concept of Mortal Kombat vs DC, but I wasn't too satisfied with the DC portion, and hopefully this is a better game. I'm gonna wait until a price drop, hopefully by then I will clear out a couple of games off of Mount Backlog

I have a big backlog too I jsut dont own half the games on it anymore so im having to rebuild but in the process my backlog is growing so ya, Ill prolly never escape it! I think Injustice will repair some of the damage DC vs. Mortal Kombat did, I know there was a lot of negative backlash over it.

I'm thinking of getting the collectors Edition of Injustice with the statue, i'm a big comics nerd but a little aprehensive buying this because i'm not crazy about MKs fighting style (not that i dislike it or anything). I'm most excited about Nightwing, he's my favourite superhero from DC. But i think my favourite thing so far about this game is the environments, love how interactive they are

I say test the demo out if ya can and give it a go, might tell if its worth putting your money down or not. I preordered before trying the demo but since I love the way they did MK I was for certain Id like this one and so far, its looking good. Now since Im not a huge comics person, im just getting the standard edition. I didnt see a lot of worth in the collectors edition for myself. I am however thinking of reading the prequel comics for the game.

Well I will keep my eye out for your reveiw,online only games are not my favorites for the simple reason in five years when the servers go down i will be stuck with a game i cant play.

I understand that, I however look at it as in 5 years the ps3 will most likely be close to being dropped with the PS4 being in its full gen turn. As times goes on they will push to only make PS4 games and by that time if the servers are down for the game then hey I can atleast say I got my moneys worth of play before then.
