Its been a while since i've posted anything here. I've wanted to, I just never had the motivation to do it. I dunno, blogging just hasn't been the same since 1UP went under. Anyway, nothing really new here aside from numerous health issues popping up all in the past 2 years. Pretty much I was diagnosed with epilepsy, and have a wonderful tumor around the nerve between my toe bones that makes being on my feet extremely painful. I've had other stuff too, but I don't want to get into that. Needless to say im hanging in there even though each day seems to get more and more difficult. I thank God for those days where things ease up a little.

As far as gaming goes, im still into that. Lately i've had quite the obsession with Disney Infinity. As some of you may know, im also into Skylanders. Im telling you, for games designed for kids, im having more fun with these then anything. Maybe its the crappy meds they have me on, but I just can't seem to focus on some of the more complex games I used to enjoy. I can't even sit in front of the screen playing like I used to. Ha, I just turned 40, so maybe im just getting old.

i have the same hard time focusin on games and I'm 39.  Sometimes I can do it, just have some many other things I'm worried about.....

I hope you feel better.  Health problems are the worst.  I've been doing ok, but I need to lose weight.

It's too bad they cancelled Disney Infinity....

Thanks. Im just glad I don't get grand mals and very few frequencies of flashing lights effect me. Still the effects of it just make me feel horrible on some days. My foot issues are nearly just as bad. I can't even walk without pads in my shoes. Even then after an hour or 2 im in massive pain. Most my toes on my left foot are numb, and pretty much any sort of painful or uncomfortable thing you can imagine I feel. Word of warning, if you ever start feeling like your walking on flat stones, or a bunched up sock, go get checked ASAP. I had that on and off for months and then it was too late. Even the injections I got through the top of my foot only made it worse.

that sounds terrible man. You know, there's a pretty famous game reviewer girl called INdie Gamer Chick that reviews and talks about games, but she's got epilepsy too, so she has to avoid a lot of titles.  I've been following her for a long time, she's a real inspirational story.

Its funny because I never knew any sort of flashing lights bothered me before getting an EEG test and learning certain frequencies do. Before that the only thing that did bother me was sunlight flickering through trees. Last year I discovered one more thing when my friend showed me his new Japanese Popeye pachinko machine. Yup, scoring a jackpot on it affected me. Other then that nothing. I've played tons of pinball games with flashing lights everywhere and not a thing.

"Japanese Popeye Pachinko Machine"?  That would give me nightmares too!

Its actually kind of cool. I can't even watch the jackpot on any of the You Tube videos of it because I start blinking fast and feeling sick. He also has a Starblazers one, but I have no issue with that.

The email account I was using for FB is one I never log in to. It's an old Hot Mail account and very unstable. So I deleted it all and will open a new FB account using a gmail address just for FB. I send ya an invite when I get it set up

Hello.  Glad to have you back.  I see you post on Facebook sometimes, but I don't mess with Facebook that much.  Hope you get a chance to read my reviews and blogs and stuff!

...I'm 25 and occasionally almost wonder how I played games such as fighting games like I used to..Though I suppose I might still have some of the spark..Kinda wish Vita had some fighting games for me to dabble in..Kinda don't have easy access to a PS3...Eh, sadly lots of things have changed regardless of what anyone expected..Hell I never really thought I'd be quite where I am now generally...4 or so years ago..But those were simpler times..Yeh stress..The funnest part of life..~

I thought I might freak out at the flashing lights of the opening race in Superchargers, but luckily no. That game does flash a lot of stuff at you. Sorry to hear about your condition.

This year I played a whole ton of Disney Infinity. I got through all three games and have a bucket full of figures. Not sure what to do with it all now though, but I could go back to it sometime. There's some achievements I didn't get, plus they're still fun.

I started getting into movie licenced games and kids games back when I was achievement hunting and found some of them pretty good. Just light fun, almost casual. It's a nice break from the Halos, Diablos and Bioshocks of the world.

I'm also kind of fascinated by the toys-to-life thing. I know it's just a chip in the figure and all, but I just think it's cool to see your figure come to life on the big screen. It gives you a kind of tangible connection to the game.
