WTF is Rust?

It's a survival game by the guys who made Garry's Mod. It's the one where your randomly fenerated gender, skin colour, penis/breast sizes and the like are tied to your steam account forever. It's an interesting experiment even if the game is a bit meh right now.

I guess I could try it if no one else wants one.

is this that online game where ppl run in gangs and assault other players like Walking Dead show? Alright I'll take one. Can y'all co-op or something? I mean, is it a co-op type game or solo type game? I played 'The Forest' and quite liked it.

It's similar to Day Z. What I like about it is what they're doing with the community. Your skin colour, height, gender, and penis and breast sizes (there is nudity in this game) are randomly generated and tied to your account.

 This has lead to a lot of snobby white guys essentially experiencing racism, sexism, and the like for the first time. Stuff like this is encouraged, as it's a simulation of primitive society and more of an experiment than an actual game.

Well the first thing I noticed was the toxic chat window. Jeezus! It's like the worst part of an MMO is just right there in your face. Enjoyed the solitude of 'The Forest' more. We'll see. We'll see. The social experiment sounds interesting. I haven't figured out how to zoom out and see my avatar, if thats even possible so I don't know what I look like. Maybe I should keep it a mystery to make things interesting?

I think there were some stories about Rust on Idle Thumbs podcast that made me laugh. People do strange things in such games. 

Idle Thumbs can seriously make stories about any game amazing though. I remember the stuff they did on that Fallout mobile game, or the stuff they're talking about now in Rimworld and it's hilarious.

I'm so in love with that podcast right now. It's become one of my favorites.

I can't tell if I prefer it or Idle weekend. Both are great though.
