For thoughs of you who are not familliar with Kalypso Media this is the guys be hind such awesome games as Tropico,Omerta,Port Royale 3, Jurassic Park and Jagged Alliance etc.

Air Conflicts:Secret Wars Is a flight sim game set in WW1 and WW2, It was developed by Games Farm and published by Bitcomposer Games, it was released on Sept 30th 2011, and is the sequel to the 2006 Air Conflicts.

So Air Conflicts is available on the  Pc,360,and the ps3 its a arcade flight sim, the game has 7 campaigns, and the player has to fly and fight through over 48 missions. Before you take off you can pick through different aircraft which the game will recommend for you depending on the type of mission or you can just ignore this and fly whats available, you can choose between two control schemes, and choose arcade and simulation modes, which effects the gameplay so arcade will control like blazing angels did or simulation in which you take off and land adjust rotors, flaps etc.

Whithin the missions you get different objectives such as, patrolling, sneaking, hit and run, bombing and escorting, after some missions, the player can upgrade one of your skills, in order to make certain areas of your flying easier, you can get more endurance,a wingman, etc you get the point. Besides the campaign the game also features several multiplayer modes, local, and via internet for up to four players.

You start out with a Zenith Z6a Bi plane and is really only good for the begining smuggling jobs you get at the start of the game, after that you will slowly upgrade your hangar, with planes you unlock playing the campaign missions, the main character Dee Dee happens to excel at flying because her dad was a ace pilot, she was orphaned when he died supposedly in a plane crash, and left in the care of one of his mates who goes by the name Tommy, and they make a living smuggling whiskey, and other contraband with there airplane, and around this same time is when Germany invades and well you can see where this is going.

The graphics are average at best and is definetly not secret wars strong suit but it does the job and from a distance it looks pretty good but up close you will defintly not be impressed. The voice acting and music is right on and done fairly well, the controls handle very well and is one of the strong suites of this game, the game has alot of missions and the game does its best to keep ypu busy, alot of the missions are fly to this location shoot some enemys or drop bombs and return and thats not bad and it does throw in some surprises,I actually a fun with this game, but if your not a hard core flight enthusiest then this may not be for you, but if you like flight sims and WW2 then by all means check this one out.

I wonder if my older brother has heard of this, he really likes air combat/plane video games.

Some of the text is hanging out to the right, I think due to the image sizes. I was still able to get the gist, just letting you know.

I played the demo and it seemed pretty good.  I have yet to find me the Air combat game I've been looking for. I've played all the demos and I cant decide which one I want. ILL Sturmovick was pretty good....the demo anyway.

IL Sturmovik is the best flight sim on consoles period well Birds of Steel cause its IL Sturmoviks successor but there both awesome, Air Conflicts has a cool ww2 story and the fact the main character is female makes it even more intriguing.

My favorite flying games involve aircraft from WWII and WWI. I used to build models of the fighters and bombers. So this would be one I'd like. The story element looks like it compliments the dogfighting well. Definitely a plus on that part.

I've never been one for flying shooters, but this one seems like it may be different or at least worth checking out. Thank you.
