So its been a while since I've put up a new entry in my blog, but I promise, I have been frequenting pixlbit and going through all the articles and blogs! Since I finally have some room to breath a bit, I decided to take the time to finally update my blog.

Since it's now the summer, I'm taking this semester off to work and catch up on some much needed life. Unfortunately, I became a full time sushi chef and it seems my life will have to wait once again. I work at a little place called Shin Sei and I'm usually pretty much the only sushi chef there. I'm there everday we're open, from opening till closing, and I always smell like raw fish when I head home (ew...).

In the meanwhile, the only games I've been playing on my spare time is one of my most beloved games of all time, and that's the Dawn Of War  series for pc. I'll only talk about the second one though to make it easier on myself Laughing

Dawn of War 2 is now 4 years old, and ever since the beta, it's made alot of changes. The game features 6 races that all play differently, and the game has huge depth in terms of strategies and counters. Before you start a game, you can pick one out of 3 heroes your respective army has, and each hero will completly change how you proceed with your attacks and strategies.   The army I frequently play as is the Imperial Guard. The army consists of average joes expected to face aliens, super humans, and daemons, armed with little protection and a gun notoriously labeled as "the flashlight".

 Flashlights

The Hero I usually use is the Lord Commisar. A fearless leader that specializes in melee, and army support. Ironically, the way he supports his army is executing cowards to incite your army to fight harder.

The Right Hook of Awesomeness

This game features no base building whatsoever. Everything is army management, and map control. They way you gain resources is capturing points on the map that will continually build up. The rate that you gain these resources depends on how many points you control on the map.

What I love most about this game is just the sheer strategy that is involved. With superior skills, you can overtake a larger army if you tackle it right.

Now, as some of you may know, I make music on my spare time, and I've made quite a few compositions.

Here's some new stuff your hearing pleasure. Well, I guess thats about all for now. I'm going to enjoy my night off with a few beers and play some more games.

See you guys around :)

Why does that first song sound so familiar...

Out of curiosity I googled Shin Sei, and the first link it shows is for a restaurant in Dallas. I presume that's not the one you work at.

Haha, no, I live in Ogden, Utah. The first song sounds familiar because one of the samples I used in the song is from a Zelda song called Gerudo Valley. I used tons of other samples from other orchestral instances and made something presentable. Although I take no credit and make no money from that song. It's simply for listening pleasure. I never sell any of the songs I make from samples, simply because lawsuits ARE NOT FUN.

Thanks for checking out my stuff though, I really appreciate that you took the time to listen to some of them.

Aha, it's a sample of the Gerudo Valley song. I know it very well, and it slipped right under my ears. Don't worry, I ain't no copyright po-lice. And kudos for being a sushi Chef, that is quite an accomplishment.

Being a sushi chef is good fun. The only part I hate is going home smelling like raw fish.

As much as I love the taste, the smell isn't as appealing....
