I hope you're loving your dog time. It's really great.
didn't know buses had wi fi.
I haven't seen civil war since I saw in the theater. Really enjoyed that movie though.
time for some console gaming soon, I think.

Well that month sure went fast! Between work and vacation, poof! Gone!
Playing: downloaded some games onto my 3DS while on the bus to Boston last week. Love having free wifi on the bus! Picked up some more sale games, nothing special or very exciting, but good games to pass the time with. I got Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst and Jewel Quest Heritage. I needed a couple of time wasters. Also still playing Fantasy Life. Haven't really played anything on either console in what feels like forever.
Reading: Polished off a Louis L'Amour western (Utah Blaine) in a day on one of the days I was trapped in the booth at work all day. Also reading the second book in the Mike Bowditch game warden series (Trespasser).
Watching: Watched the last six or so episodes of NCIS season 13 on Netflix so I would be caught up for when season 14 started. That was not meant to be. I paid for the first two episodes on Amazon, so hopefully I will be caught up for next week. Also binged my way through season 3 of The Blacklist. I did manage to catch the series premier on Thursday. And I started the last season of Hawaii Five-0. I can't keep up that one, I don't usually get home in time on Friday nights to watch it and I hate CBS's streaming service. Finally saw Captain America: Civil War when it came to RedBox. And then I forgot to return it the next day. Oh, well. Also been watching a bunch of old TV westerns on Heroes and Icons, they have "Good Guys at Sunrise" every weekday morning from 5 AM to noon.
Listening: All kinds of stuff. Last weekend was the annual FSGW Getaway in West River, Maryland. It runs from Friday afternoon through Monday morning, and is an intense weekend of workshops, jam sessions, and singing, as well as concerts on Saturday and Sunday nights that any one can sign up to be in. Think high school talent show but with real talent. New music to me includes Sally Rogers, a gospel harmony trio called Bare Bones, and my friend Ernie's newest CD. It's a great mix of professionals and amateurs, and the workshops included a music theory for vocalists class. I think I need the remedial class. My high points were having Sally Rogers pull me aside and tell me I have a beautiful voice and I need to sing more, and Bare Bones singing I'll Fly Away when I asked them to after the Sunday night concert and having twenty or more people join in. The song was the one in my head the night my grandmother died, and when I tuned the radio to NPR and caught the last ten minutes of Prairie Home Companion (after remembering it was Saturday), where they finished the show with someone singing I'll Fly Away. I remember having to pull off to the side of the road because I started crying. Anyway the harmonies were incredible. We did it again for the dining hall workers the next morning before we left.
Other Stuff: Got my new dog a week ago Thursday. He's a handful, I'm guessing there's some beagle and a lot of terrier in his background, and probably a bunch more things. I doubt there has been a purebred in his ancestry in a very long time. Anyway, he's adorable, and has a ton of energy and very few manners. We're working on that. Because of the energy level, I am getting plenty of exercise. He gets two walks a day, and I started running again this week after not having run since last January. So we do a lot of walking, and we run together every other day. He's the smallest dog I've ever owned - both my previous dogs were 55-60 pounds, and Beau's only about 30 pounds. He's a year old, so he won't get any taller, but he might bulk out a bit more. Either way, it's nice having a dog again. I'll finish this up with a couple of photos of the new kid.
My mom took that one of our first meeting. She was awesome and rode down with me to Connecticut to pick the little booger up.
And this is a rare photo of Beau not in motion, lol.
Have a great holiday weekend, everyone!
Oh, Beau and I are having great time.
Not all buses have wi-fi. The one that runs from Portland, Maine to Boston does, though. They also show a movie on the trip. I forgot to bring headphones, so I was SOL when it came to being able to hear the movie, though. They also give you free bottles of water and pretzels.
I'm half in love with Gibbs, as is almost every other woman I know, so I'd watch it just for that. I thik they're still putting out good episodes, though.
Thanks. Beau is a serious scamp (check out one of my recent FB posts), but yeah, he's a lot of fun. One of his nicknames is "Twinkletoes".
