Just finished the tower where you find the hero dude and wondering where the rest of the fragments I need to continue are. The flying carpet opened up a few areas but a couple remain inaccessible. I need a couple more mini medals for the poison needle, I could have sworn I had more than 43 but oh well.

In other news I picked up a couple of new PS4 games and a demo. Grand Kingdom and God Eater Resurrection are on sale right now. Just had to check out Dragon Quest Builders too.

new PSN games

The Dragon Quest Builders demo is fun but pretty laid back. I don't think I'll be spending 80 bucks for it though. I'll wait for a sale.

God Eater was less than 10 bucks so I bought it. I haven't even looked at it yet.

Grand Kingdom was $27 and I've quite enjoyed the little bit of time I've spent with it. It's a Strategy RPG with an interesting battle system.

Well back to DQ, those shards aren't going to find themselves/

I reviewed Grand Kingdom on the Vita.  It was pretty good.

I heard that the first God Eater game's music was done by my favorite video game music composer: Go Shiina.  I wonder if this one is, too?

DQ Builders is 80 bucks!?!

Yep $79.99 in Canada. Probably only $59.99 USD. I know God Eater 2 music is by Go Shiina so maybe this one is too.

I'm planning to get DQVII will probably have to wait till the end of the year when my ridiculous amount of overtime hits lol. I definitely want to get it before it becomes really scarce, as I'm sure will happen.

I played the original God Eater on PSP and am actually in God Eater 2 right now on PS4. These games are the most fun with some other people. Also: SO ANIME lol

DQ VII is so good. I think it's the best in the series. Also it's pretty much the best 3DS game ever graphically.

I'm just begining to have to really hunt for fragments. I hope this isn't going to be a constant thing to progress in the game. I can only look so long before my patience begins to wear thin.

Well your patience is really going to be tried when you get to the bits where you have no clue what your next move should be. You'll stumble across what looks like a quest but it relies on you to have done other random things first or it doesn't execute.

I also opened a red and green pedestal at the same time and wasn't sure which one to hit first.

I still love the game but it really requires attention to detail in order to get everything out of it.

For fragments just keep your eye on the pulsing orb. When the pulse gets fast you know a fragment is close.

I'm clueless often already. Like just now, I had to find a character who disappears in the town I'm in with no darn clue as to where she went. No one could tell me, so I went from house to house searching every corner 'til I found her. Then, after I talked to her, I was at another quandry. So I just left the house I was in and suddenly she appears again and walks off in another direction. Ok, so now I follow her to where ever she just went? Yep. Enter the presentation of the quest proper in the next dialog sequence. The game leaves you hanging like that pretty often before you get a clear goal.

I was 120+ hours on that game. And I finally broke down and bought the walkthrough guide because I got stuck in one dungeon and couldn't find my way. I liked the game a lot, it was my first introduction to the series, but I think DQ VIII is my favorite.

I'm enjoying VII on my 3DS, but I liked playing VIII on my TV a bit more.
