Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Saw all sorts of news about this over the weekend. Only a week ago I thought it was an elaborate April Fools joke on the part of Ubisoft! But I guess it's for real. Supposed to be released on May 1 as a standalone game. You will not need a copy of Far Cry 3 to play it. Michael Biehn is featured in the game as Rex Colt,who is listed as a "Mark IV Cyber Commando" which sounds a bit cheesy. But I think cheesy is what they are striving for here. I know I'm gonna love it for the whole 80's vibe. Cyborgs,lasers,cyber battles,blood dragons!

The weapons are what I'm the most curious about. Far Cry meets Tron? Not bad I say!

Power Glove is doing the soundtrack for the game. That might just make it amazing for me. I love the type of music they make. I guess I'm stuck in the 80's at times with my tastes,I admit it. But it's only natural to be nostalgic about a fun decade like that one. This game seeks to capture the feel of that era like no other game has done since GTA:Vice City. Seems that way to me anyhow. I think it will be pretty enjoyable even if it can't pull that one off.

I'm really hyped for this too. I grew up in the 80s, so I'll always have a place for it in my heart. the 80s rule!

I love the 80's because of the music and movies. Everything seemed so colorful. Hated the stupid clothes,though. Don't miss that crap at all!

If the price is right, I may give it a go. I've never tried a Far Cry game, but as an 80's kid, I have a soft spot for that decade. If it's as cool as Vice City, it should be fun!

Far Cry Instincts:Predator is a classic. Has the best multiplayer I've ever experienced before. Why oh why could they not do it again?

The original FarCry 3 looks spectacular too and I don't say that about every fps I see. However, love the 80's cheese with this spin off! It's so neon,Celt!

It's so sparkly! Like some kind of music video by Duran Duran or something. I like the stuff in the background of the logo. Looks like Battlezone to me.

My soft spot is the 90s, but the 80s knew how to make neon lights look cool, and make music that really complemented them, as proven by that Power Glove tune. The Laserhawk song was awesome too!

I never really knew how much I loved 80s music until I heard the soundtrack to the Cinema Snob (Brad Jones) internet movie, Midnight Heat. I'm also a pretty huge fan of modern songs that sound 80s, like the Drive soundtrack, and this:

Anyway, sounds like an awesome, cheesy game. Long live the decade of excess!

I like that! Good song. Drive introduced me to a whole new genre. Never realized there were so many people making 80's style electronic music. That whole soundtrack is fantastic.

Well me loving the 80,s as well this is very interesting, since i love Farcry and i love the 80,s it sounds only natural to like this,i will have to follow up on this one.

Finally saw some footage for this game. I can't wait. I'm fairly certain I'll be buying it day 1.
