Seriously America lost it's mind, Britain shot itself in the foot with Brexit, DC comics quality is above Marvel (thank gawd) and we have a Super Moon! Well Dave Chappelle is back on TV, so it's not all terribleLaughing

Hello everyone, hows it going? I've uped my hours at worked (averaging 6 days a week) so I hadn't much time or energy for anything but I once in a while give you guys a read. Nice to know the world keeps turning and all that.

In any case though very little has happened to me personally I have had just enough to blog about, so lets get started.

Music

I swear to the lord almighty the pop industry is trying to destroy good music. I feel old Listening to the Whispers and Kansas while anyone else my age or younger is listening to that awful Treat You Better guy. Yuk!

TV

Though I don't watch TV anymore I  caught the Walking Dead Episode wear Negan Knocks it out of the park (hehe), compelling stuff but I  laughed at all the people crying about it though.

Supergirl - finally a Superman I can get behind After being disappointed with the Snyder movies this was just pleasant.

Saturday Night Live S42E06 - Dave Chappelle is as funny as ever bringing back old favorites and new material, I think you yankies need to laugh after what happenedTongue Out A Tribe Called Quest with Busta was certainly a treat.

Any Young Justice fans? remember that BS cliff hanger? I know I did Yell but out of the Blue after years of begging, it happened, we are getting a Third Season! How and when hasn't been mentioned, let alone if little be online or CN but they are bringing it back. I am Sooo Hyped!

Movies

Any western fans? for some reason I have re-watched old westerns, Once Upon a Time in the West, the dollars Trilogy 3:10 to Yuma (old and new) but I  finally watched the Hateful 8. I am impressed, it's a simple story but everything about it IMO was good, with clever commentary, even if it was on the nose. underrated tbh.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader - If you love the Adam West Batman, you'll love this. goofy, self-parodying and a little edgy (yep), not a masterpiece, just a good watch.

'You see the new Ghost in the Shell trailer, it looks good, but I have a problem with the story making Motoko into some kind of Snowflake Neo character, but the feeling I got when I first saw the Anime intro returned when I first saw the live action recreation came back, so it's not all bad.

John Wick 2.Laughing

Logan -  It was a well made Trailer, i'm very excited for a good X-men film. we only really have 2 (X2 and Deadpool)

Anime

Not much, But i'm going to watch an anime which I  kind of wasn't aware of growing up Read Or Die, I'll thank Bennett The Sage for reminding me. Thanks to him, I re-watched Ghost In The Shell 2 thanks to him. well worth it.

I re-watched the Original Full Metal Alchemist to Compare it to Brotherhood, the more faithful adaptation. The first series is essentially what the Anime GITS series is to the manga, more seriousness, and I  believe it suits it better. Both iterations are good though

Dragon Ball Super is getting an English Dub. Laughing

Comics

DC have reinvigorated themselves as of late and they deserve props too, not just trying new ideas with old properties but bring back what made them unique in the first place. maybe one day i'll go in to detail.

Since the Power Rangers reboot movie is on the horizon I may ass well mention the MMPR comic. It's good, really good. Fun, Action packed but updated just enough to be just a tad less goofy and there's nothing wrong with that. Definitely for fans but for anyone curious? give it a go. They're also doing a Crossover with the Justice League soon. I like comics Smile

I Hate Fairland - you like violence, you like, parody, you like mean spirited humor at childhood Fairytales? This is for you.

The Street Fighter comics are great the Cammy and Unlimited story arcs are fun and nearing completion so get ready! And the Rebooted Archie comics are really really good too.

Ed Brubaker and Sean Philips are Probably my favorite comicbook duo (Read Incognito, Criminal, The Fade Out, Fatale), they some how keep me buying anything they do together, Their latest Collab "Kill Or Be Killed" is weird tense and engaging. I love their work.

If you do decide to buy a Trade-paperback/Graphic Novel, I recommend.

  • Wonder woman: Earth One and The True amazon Warrior, 2 alternate universe Wondy stories
  • Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • How to talk to Girls at Parties: which is years too late for some one like me but is visually and narrative engaging. A young man going to a party with friends which isn't really his scene getting advice from mates on how to engage with the opposite sex, It hits a little too close to home to be honest but it perfectly illustrates not just that age but that atmosphere and the feeling of not understanding the nonsense girls are saying (Tongue Out). PS, It's a Neil Gaiman story.
  • Dark Knight: A True Batman Story: if you've ever been depressed or suffered a trauma regarding anything physical, this is a good story for you. Paul Dini of the Bruce Tim DC animated universe was assaulted and suffered all sorts, this is part autobiographical to illustrate how Batman pretty much saved his life. It has great art too.

Games
The most important thing I suppose, though i couldn't do much gaming there are things I can talk about. So I'll save it for another Blog

Zero Time Dilemma - A Story Driven Puzzle game, third in the series and set between the events of the 1st and 2nd game. the way everything comes full circle was worth waiting for the sale.

Max Payne 3 - I replayed this game, it's really good. Rockstar should make a graphical update of the First 2, keep the voice acing though, no real changes other than gameplay and Graphics, That'd be cool.

Speaking of Rockstar OMG RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2, But were's the flippin PC versions of this series? Good Grief.

Call of Juarez: Gunslingers - This seriously cool, the voice acting and Gameplay is ace, this series, this game in particular is underrated.

The Dynasty Warriors Berserk game looks fun, not the biggest fan of Dynasty Warriors but I think it suits Berserk.

Apparently Beyond Good and Evil 2 has started development. Started. Either this was a misunderstanding or Ubisoft have screwed the pooch again.

I'm going to play Tales of Symphonia soon, sure the inferior PC version but I'll endure.

Street Fighter V is getting Akuma, it  may not make me like the game anymore than I do but it could be a start to some improvements.

The PS4 Pro was released last week, I'll say in spite of the modding problems and no 4K blu-ray player, it is the beefier machine.

Nintendo Switch - All I can say is we may Finally get No More Heroes 3!!!!

That's all I got for now, that's as much as I can fit in the months I was gone (oh, forgot about Luke Cage. It's good to great!). I'll make another Blog about the Games I've played and the stuff related pretty soon.

This is V saying "They'll Be Peace When You Are Done!"

I read Earth One Wonderwoman by Morrison.  Really liked it.  Can't wait for more.

I really like westerns too.  It's kind of how I bond with my dad. I've seen a lot of them! and the spaghetti westerns are some of our favorites.  Westworld is pretty cool too.

Been watching a ton of old TV Western series on a local TV station. Stuff like Cheyenne, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Have Gun, Will Travel, High Chaparral, and Wagon Train, to name a few. And for movies: The Magnificent 7 (the original, I have no desire to see the remake), Nevada Smith, Angel and the Bad Man (again, the original with John Wayne and not the new one with Lou Diamond Phillips, although that one wasn't bad) and River of No Return. I'll haul The Man With No Name trilogy (what you call the dollar trilogy) out soon, too.

I realized that we ended up with the real life version of Eric Cartman as president over here. We are so screwed.

I understand being busy, I am just now getting situated in my new living space. Im quite excited for the Nintendo Switch, I am concerned about the Wii U production being ended. There are several games I believe shouldnt be forgotten or just left to disappear. Im hoping they will get rereleased on the Switch even if it is just digital.

I'm very luke warm about Logan. I always see the Wolverine movies, but I might miss this one.

My main problem with the election at this point is that it won't effing end. Usually, we're at a heightened state of tension during these things because we have to talk about politics and have disagreements, but then we kinda go back to normal once it's done. Unfortunately, because this particular election was such a shitshow, things have not calmed down and it honestly feels like it won't for a while.

Speaking of music, I feel like if we're gonna have the political turmoil and racial tension of the 60s, we should have the good music to go along with it. Sadly, I don't see any Creeedence Clear Water Revival-like goodness on the horizon.

I want to watch Supergirl, especially because I love The Flash. I tried watching Arrow, but didn't get into it as much. Unfortunately, I am so behind on Flash (it's in the middle of its third season on TV, I'm on like E10 or something of season 2) I don't know when I'll find time for Supergirl.

Logan looks like it could be boring, honestly. If it's well-reviewed, I'll see it. Apocalypse is the only X film I have not seen.

Has netflx added part 5 of brotherhood yet? Probably not. GRRRR

Those Batman/TMNT comics looked fun. The Dark Knight comic about trauma sounds interesting.

Damn, I still need to play the original Red Dead Redemption and Beyond Good and Evil.

I'm not gonna buy a PS4 Pro when I have a PS4, and it's not like I have a 4k TV even if Pro did have that feature. Since Nintendo Switch releases around March, I may ask for some Christmas money towards it. So uch inefficiency at so many offices ...
