There is what nine days left until Christmas, and sixteen days until I have to stop listening to my Christmas music. I have to say I would have listened to a lot more if not for A Very Kacey Christmas CD. That album is easily 90% of my holiday music. Good morning Pixlpeeps how are you? It is a very cloudy day here in my piece of Southern California because last night we had rain! In fact most of California had rain. On Twitter I saw that there is a hashtag “LARain” which means everyone is driving like it is the apocalypse. I wish there was more rain because I like using my beat up Nike boots in bad weather. Anyways let's get started with Quick Hits!
Chris Watches...
Total Nonstop Deletion – POP
This is a special that the TNA folks aired which I'm assuming is more from the crazy Broken Matt Hardy storyline (he hit his head and became crazy, but the shows have been fun to watch) and this one is more of the same except now it involves the entire TNA roster, the Broken Hardy's, a drone, and former big name wrestlers like The Rock N' Roll Express and Road Warrior Animal. This show was so wild at times people were fighting on a moving truck, in the parking lot of an antiques store, going though walls, a boat stopping a wrestler from winning a match, fireworks, a drone wanting to wrestle, a drone shooting fireworks, a volcano, and a fake news cast. I get it was making fun of wrestling but it was just so entertaining and easily the most fun I've had watching any of their product.
Aztec Basketball – Twitter
I'm superstitious so I don't watch my team a lot (I do like to listen to them on the radio) but when one of their games was on Twitter I had to watch because Twitter is becoming my favorite sports channel. I watch Thursday Night football on Twitter, and random college sports. The feed is solid, and I can have the window on my laptop while doing other things. Anyways the Aztecs won the game.
Pentatonix Christmas – NBC
I'm a fan of their music but I didn't enjoy their newest Christmas CD as much as the previous ones. Their version of Hallelujah is pretty but doesn't scream Christmas to me. Anyways their show was excellent with a handful of guest singers and the big draw for me was their video of them as Lego minifigures.
Chris Listens To...
I'm 29 songs away from listening to every unlistened to Christmas song I have in my library. I found a couple of Motown songs I really liked that made their way to my Holiday playlist and I also found some real stinkers. Some artists just throw in some filler along with the usual renditions of classic Christmas songs.
I started using Microsoft's answer to iTunes, Grove Music
I'm not really using it but over the past week or so they have been giving away different albums to get people to come over and use the app. I use the app to purchase the free albums, download them and then I copy the files over to iTunes. The Grove Music player is nice, simple and easy to navigate through but I'm already invested in the iTunes Universe that it really doesn't make sense to switch over now.
Pickups!
Games
While I was supposed to be getting some stuff to send to my sister I made a little stop at GameStop for these games.
Battlefront is $10 while the Batman Telltale games are $15. Looking back I should have bought Star Wars on PC because I had to spend another $18 on three months of Prime but my brother is coming down for Christmas and I figure he will play the PS4 and want to play online. As for myself I am padding the kill stats for everyone on the other team. That's how bad I am. Batman well, it's fifteen which seems like a good price for all the games in the series (I haven't opened it yet but I'm assuming the first episode is on the disc and the other episodes I have to download)
I also included this game into my library because it is free
Speaking of free console games, on the 360 I finally figured out how to get this game without inputting my credit card
I think I still have like $3 in credit on my 360 so all I had to do was hit download (also after a couple of hoops to jump through because I haven't powered my 360 in months) It's currently downloading as I am typing this.
On PC Ubisoft's 30 days of gifts is going on and missed the big 300 codes day (hope you enjoy them actual folks, and suck it to the bots) I finally got to grab copies of the games I missed that they gave out earlier this year
The Ubisoft webpage seems to not play well with Chrome, but uPlay works fine and I was able to add the missing games to my library and download them. Today's gift isn't loading either because once again it doesn't play nice with Chrome. Anyways Ubisoft is giving away cool stuff that you can print out like posters, wrapping paper, as well as wallpaper, and other digital goodies along with the games on their advent calendar website.
For tablets I spent $10 on this game
And then I finished all six worlds (four sections per world) and now I am playing the multiplayer section to earn little guys with the mushroom hats. I'll talk more about this game on Monday.
There was a freebie on iOS too (I also think on Android) from Rayark International where they were giving away a bunch of their games as well
Check it out if you're interested.
Music
Some stuff I found at the thrift store for a buck each
This is a European release of Daft Punk's One More Time. I have the album the single is from but I wanted the single for the two tracks on it which are a radio version of the song, and a club mix. This song reminds me of when I worked at Disneyland during the summer and for Grad Nite they turned the front of the castle into a dance club. This song was always playing and I worked on Main Street so you could hear it.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off to go enjoy the cool weather and eat breakfast. Have a good weekend!
That's all for now, more later!
-Chris
Because it is a fun Christmas song, and I'd rather listen to fun songs instead of the depressing Christmas songs...and besides this song reminds me of cold mornings, going to school, and that weird smell elementary school heaters would have.

Hope you enjoy Lost Odyssey, it's quite the epic.
I've played 3 different Telltale games. Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and one of the Sam and Max seasons. Never was too enthusiastic about them, but I'll certainly play Batman if it winds up free or very cheap at some point.

I was going to try it but apparently my 360 needs me to babysit it to finish downloading so I have to download it again. Maybe on Friday I'll give it a spin.
I've tried a couple of the Telltale games but I wasn't interested in the games. I think with Batman I'll give it an honest shot because I find the story interesting. I got seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead for free from Amazon's promotion with Twitch.

Saw the Super Mario Run trailer before Star Wars Rogue One today in the theater. It didn't show gameplay, so it was kind of uninteresting.

Its an interesting take on a runner with a couple of neat items to change the gameplay but not enough to spend $10

I got Super Mario Run as well. It's all right, I guess. It's just a continuous runner using New Super Mario Bros. assets. There are a few creative ideas here and there, and I do like how you can pull off stylish moves in Toad Rally (reminds me of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat). But I don't think it's totally worth ten bucks, and if they start doing microtransactions I won't be supporting that. I guess if you REALLY like Mario games you'll enjoy it. While I do like Mario games a lot, I enjoy other NIntendo properties much more, like Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Animal Crossing, etc.
Here is my Super Mario Run friend code if you'd like to add me, though.

I wish there was more content to justify the $10. Like I said in another blog it it was $5 I would have been ok with the game.
