Hello Everyone!

Last night I saw the Assassin's Creed movie. I was going in with only positive thoughts, ignoring any critics reviews, which I know have been bad. I feel like I can form my own opinion. Ubisoft and the cast certainly did not dissapoint me, in the least.

As a huge fan of the franchise, this movie is everything I wanted it to be and more. The cinematics are breathtaking, the action sequences are intense and the way they handled the Animus and all of the building climbing and hopping was perfection. I wanted to be playing the movie as I watched it, and that was the highest priase I could think of for something like this. The storyline is set up for a sequel, which I wanted to go into immediately.

If you're not a fan of the franchise or know nothing about it, the movie is still worth seeing for how beautifully it was made. They explain the basic plot of the series well enough that it can be understood: Assassins = good, Templars = assholes, protect the Apple. While that is generic, it couldn't be expected that one single movie could delve into the intricacies of the Assassin/Templar war and still be an acceptable length. You will still enjoy yourself.

Soiler Alert: There's also a good chunk of time that Michael Fassbender is shirtless. Thanks for the fan service. There is also a point where Calum sees his past Assassin ancestors. We were looking very closely to see if they could have been Ezio, Edward, Arno, etc...that would have been a neat touch.

Have you seen it? Let me know what you think!

Ah, I can't believe you spoiled the movie by saying Michael Fassbender is shirtless in parts of it!!!!  Tongue Out

I probably won't see it, but I wonder if Assassin Creed Man jumps off a building and into a haystack and still lives in the movie.  Also, in one of the games I saw, you can feed bread to animals, and it just magically comes out of his hand.  I wonder if Assassin Creed Man can do that in the movie, too?

Assassin's Creed Man can do anything he puts his mind to.

Yeah, he was even in a Soul Calibur game!

I only call him Assassin Creed Man because I don't know his real name. :)

Alrighty, saw it. Liked it a bit, but it didn't really charge me up in any way. Liked all the martial arts moves. They could've had less cuts in editing though. Lots of fast cuts kind of takes away from the martial arts choreography I like to see. Characters could have been more interesting, I think. There was not much to any of them. I noticed some similarity in the action style to Mad Max [2015] in the carriage chase in the earlier part of the movie.
