Good morning Pixlpeeps! I hope your holiday weekend went well. My holiday weekend is still going so I'm going to make this entry quick but I did want to share what games I have been playing. Sound good? Cool let's get started.

Chris Plays...

Star Wars Battlefront – PS4

I tried out the free weekend of The Death Star map and it is a lot of fun. I might buy the pack just to play the other maps. Of course I wasn't used to the two sticks to fly the X-Wing and a couple of times I crashed into the Death Star. I'm still hoping for a price drop on the PC because I am on the PC more than I am in front of the TV with the PS4.

Batman: The TellTale Game – PS4

I really have no idea what the actual name is, but I'm really digging the story to this game, but there is one thing I keep thinking about when playing, and that is why doesn't Telltale make an Archer game? The art style to Batman is perfect for Archer. I would buy that game on multiple platforms. Anyways I am in Chapter 3 of the first section of the story. I'm interested to see where it takes me because of my choices.

Grand Theft Auto V – PC

I've been roaming around the city, this time in Dom's Charger from the latest Fast and Furious. I'm really not doing anything story wise other than causing trouble and trying to run over other cars with this car.

Super Mario Run – iOS

Since I'm trying to get the most out of my $10 investment I've decided to take up playing the Toad Rally mode which I am really enjoying. Because of this mode I'm trying to unlock all the little extras you can add into your kingdom. When I earn enough coin I buy the item and just leave it in the collection because there isn't enough room in the kingdom for everything. I wish there was enough space for everything but it just isn't happening. C'mon Nintendo. Anyways I did score my highest total a couple of days ago

And in case any of you good folks want to add me as a friend

Alright Pixlpeeps, I am off. Have a good one!

That's all for now, more later!

-Chris

After I finished Super Mario Run and wrote a review of it, I deleted it off my iPad.  It just didn't hold my interest.  I'm not as big of a Mario fan as everyone may think I am.  Mario Run wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.  Just OK.

I figure for $10 I better get the most out of the game. The Toad Rally is fun even if you're  just racing another player's ghost. I'm enjoying it more than the trying to collect the pink, purple, and black coins within the story mode.

I've been meaning to play that BAtman game but it just hasn't happened yet.

When you get a chance give it a spin. So far from what I've seen its fun.

I couldn't get into GTAV, even though I liked the PS2 GTA games. Having the ability to skip missions made me lazy and I eventually skipped every mission I tried until I didn't feel like playing anymore.

Some parts of the game seem to drag a bit but overall having the ability to play with mods made my third play through a lot more interesting.

Hi Chris: GTA V, have you played it any on a console? If so, how does playing it on PC any different...such as, console joystick vs mouse and keyboard?

I played the game on PS3 and PS4. I didn't use keyboard and mouse on PC, I used a generic 360 controller. The only time I used the keyboard was to boot up the trainer or any other mods.

That charger is my favorite car from when I was a kid and had a matchbox version.

NIce! I was more of a Hot Wheels kid growing up (crazy since both products had some cool stuff) and I was always a Corvette guy.

Happy New Years!

Matchbox, hotwheels, I probably had them both and couldn't tell you which one was the Dodge Charger I had. Corvettes are cool. I probably had one that I liked. That 70's Dodge muscle was the thing for me though.

Let me know if you want to co-op or h2h on Battlefront or Need for Speed PS4. Picked both up on sale. I kinda regret buying the bare bones version of Battlefront for $10 since it really does feel incomplete, but at least I never bought it full price. I would much prefer two stick flying to the right stick only in the main game, which seems odd to me. I crash more on those speeder bikes than I do in NFS as well.

I'm gonna see if Batman: The Telltale Game ( I'm actually pretty sure that's the official title) is cheap enough to justify me buying it. I did enjoy the Walking Dead Ep 2 I got for free on PS+, so I want to play it.

GTA V had to be removed from my PS4 for space and I wasn't really playing it. Those PC mods look fun. Is there a Mad Max car in that version? The more hilly sections of the map remind me of that game sometimes.

Will do on Battlefront. I haven't touched NFS in over a year. That game is fun and I like what EA did with the cutscenes.

I think Batman is going to be the first game I complete in 2017. I really liked what I saw from the first chapter so I've been saving it for the new year.

The PC mods made GTA V much more interesting for me. I already played through the game a couple of times on PS3, and PS4 so having the ability to use vehicles from Cars, Fast and the Furious, etc. made it much more enjoyable. I don't know if there is a Mad Max mod, but the car I'm currently using (in the picture) is Dom's ride from the latest Fast and Furious movie.

I'm playing through NFS now. You seem to be #1 on all these speedwalls. lol I bought it maybe last week, installed it a bit later and am already at level 25. Kind of addicted. Saving up for a Ferrari.

My only thing with Telltale games is "well, I could look most of this up on YouTube," but then I did enjoy actually playing Walking Dead 2. There is a difference between watching and playing, even in those games. There is DEFINITELY a difference between watching and playing Resident Evil VII. I can watch YouTuibe vids of it all day, but last night my heart was racing so fast after a couple tries to get the good ending that I just said "nope" and looked them up. Not sure I could handle a VR version. And I'm someone who can watch movies like Exorcist and Sinister, Babadook etc. alone in a dark room and be fine. Heck, even a haunted house I visited in Arlington a few years ago did more to piss me off by being too long than it did to scare me. REVII has my number though.

I wish consoles had their own modding communities. I think the tech is there or at least close enough to do a bit of it.

Haha yeah I played a lot of NFS. It is addicting and before you know it, boom Platinum trophy.

I didn't get very far into Walking Dead but I did pick up the complete first and I think second season because Twitch gave it away to Amazon Prime members. When I finish Batman I might give it a spin depending on how well Batman went.

I think the tech is there but at the same time maybe the console folks don't want that open in case of someone finding a work around, or a glitch. I know XBox is offering limited modding to some games now so maybe it's just a matter of time.
