My 2016 Video Game Retrospective

2016 wasn't a very active year for me in a sense that I didn't actually finish very many video games. I bought quite a few but only played through a small handfull and even those were older ones I was replaying.

In 2016 I did play and beat all three PS3 Resistance games. I really enjoyed that.

Back in March I played and beat Metal Gear Solid two times. I wanted both endings. I also replayed Metal Gear Solid 3 HD two times to come within just One trophy to Platinum the game.

Then after years of owning the game and playing it but never finishing it, even back when I had an xbox, I played and finished

Tom Clancey's Splinter Cell

I beat the PS3 version. After all these years!

I also replayed and finished LittleBigPlanet.

Just this month I replayed and beat for the third time this year, Metal Gear Solid.

And I just this weekend replayed and finished Killzone HD.

Unless I just totally forgot one, that should be all the games I actually played and finished this year 2016.

I have Big Plans for 2017....Big Plans! .............stay tuned!

My biggest achievement this year game wise was beating The Last of Us finally. I completed the main story a few months back. I was pretty surprised I made it to the end. Other then that I havent completed much else. Not that I recall anyway. Hopefully next year is better for us!

Nicole: I have to play TLOS, it's on my bucket list. . I dont think I did too bad, I just never play any new releases! hahahahah. 2017 is gonna be the year I replay/play All my Metal Gear games.

I didn't play much, either. I did finish off a few, but it will take me a while to dredge upp what I did play.

I still have a PS1 copy of VR Missions for you, I'm just terrible at mailing things. Just ask Regina.

Sounds like you had a busy year.

I played a lot, but finished little. :( My big accomplishment was getting my first even platinum trophy... in my favorite video game of all time (FFVII) no less. I'd like to repeat that feat with Valkyria Chronicles.

I played a lot of HD remasters. An awful lot of my favorites got that treatment. Twilight Princess, Valkyria Chronicles, FFVII (sort of), Odin Sphere. A

Andrew: you have a platinum trophy too? Great! I am one short of Platinum MGS3...I cant shoot all the Kerotans..frogs. Hopefully I can fix that in 2017...hahahha

I have been one trophy away from Arkham Knight platinum for almost 2 years now. Brutality 101 is brutal.

My 2017 plan is to focus on fewer games. It's both a money thing and a mental process thing. I got to spend less and think about what games to play less.

Same here.

I have never played Resistance, but wanted to ever since visiting Insomniac in 2014.

I've played Killzone, but not much.

Been meaning to get to MGS3 for years.

It's like you beat a bunch of games on my own list. lol

I never finished Splinter Cell either and I played it with one of those cheat discs. Someday I say, someday.

Little Big Planet is a fun game. I don't get why I never continued to play through the other LBP games.

I should tackle a Metal Gear game this year. I have a couple I haven't completed.
