I AM the Batman!

Took a damn year to get the ONE trophy I needed to get Platinum in Arkham Knight (Brutality 101, where Batman performs 15 different moves without stopping or getting hit), but yesterday it finally happened. ... And it was a bit anticlimactic in all honesty.

Oh well, with that I felt ok deleting the data associated with the game so I could make room for others. I am concerned that PSN asks me to buy the game for $19.99 when I look at it in my library though. I own the disc, I don't need digital. I guess some might want a digital copy in case their disc was lost, but they should really warn you about that. I got to where I could click purchase with nothing saying "hey, you already own this."

I may download it again to play the DLC and replay the main story on Knightmare/Story +, but for now I think I've done everything I wanted to with Arkham Knight for a while.

I'm two trophies away from Platinum in Need for Speed. All I have to do now is get a car tuned all the way to drift or grip settings (my Subaru has 990 horsepower, yet can't seem to go all the way over to drift even with the highest end parts) and complete 15 daily challenges. I think I've done 5 so far. Kinda wish these trophies based on "do x number of things" showed your progress.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst may be next to have its data deleted. I liked the story missions well enough, but the finicky controls and insanely limited time for mission deliveries ( better be perfect or you've failed ) tell me this won't be one I stick with much longer. Side note: it's insane how great the characters look in cutscenes vs the PS2-looking character models in the actual game. It makes sense that they focused more on the environments, but damn.

I want my Star Wars loving roommate to see how good Battlefront looks before I get rid of it. I haven't played it much, but there's not much to it either. I also want my other horror movie enjoying friend to play some Mortal Kombat XL with Leatherface and Jason.

I guess I'll download either Mad Max or Tomb Raider Definitive Edition next. ... I bought too many damn Holiday Sale games.

I'm thinking of getting Ratchet & Clank since it's only $20, but first I'll finish The Last Guardian (Christmas gift) and see what else I want to do with the games I have downloaded. Still need to finish Wolfenstein The New Order and Shadow of Mordor and at some point redownload Bloodborne and Witcher III. I'd also like to platinum Lego Marvel Superheroes.

Oh and PS+ freebies. Man, I never would have had this many games on older consoles. I've always averaged 6-8 and many were gifts. But while I love incredibly cheap digital stuff, I really miss rentals. I know there's gamefly, but it's not the same.

Until later, Pixlbits.

oh yeah, 15 moves without getting hit, I do that all the time!

Not!  Congrats, that sounds like a tough trophy.

I bought mirrors edge during a sale the other day. Installed it yesterday.  We'll see, I really like these games but they're always so flawed.

There's only two, right?  Or am I missing another ME game?

nah, there's just two.  I played the first but not the second yet.

There's a trick to the all drift or all grip, you have to go into the settings of the car and just move the sliders all the way to one side. I think you do that drive a couple of feet and then the trophy should trigger. The complete X number of challenges is a pain but it just takes logging in doing it, the three per day and you good. Usually they're really easy.

Congrats on the Platinum. I lost interest the minute I had to find the Riddler stuff. I think it was Batman burnout. Whenever I get around to it on PC (I was doing a whole play all the Batman games thing last year) I might try.

EDIT: I forgot to mention if you're playing the first Lego Marvel Superheroes game you need a second controller for one of the trophies where you have to have two characters step on a pad at the same time.

See I feel like I did that, but must not have driven the car far enough. Right now I can't put it ALL the way to drift. Might have to rearrange some parts.

Arkham Knight on PC?! Nooooo!!!

I have 2 controllers so should be good. I paired up Cap and Torch that way.

I figured it out. I needed to equip a spoiler.

Oh cool, the Platinum should be an easy pickup.

Yeah I bought PC Batman when it was cheap. Some folks say the bugs have been fixed but we shall see. I still need to finish Origins before I jump into Arkahm Knight again.

Way to go on getting that trophy! I sure as hell couldnt do that shit, I sometimes think, hey I might try getting trophies more but then I see the pain of what others go through doing it and Im like naaah im good. I normally only get ones I get through one playthrough.

I bought several Holidays games over the course of christmas and new years. Before the last sale week on PSN ended I got Diablo and Star Ocean. I also went to gamestop and got 3 games since they were doing a buy 2 preowned get 1 free back in December. I got Dynasty Warriors 8 complete, Toukiden Kiwami, and The Walking Dead Season 2. I started Walking Dead, and Im currently on Chapter 2. I can already tell this is gonna be an emotional rollercoaster.

The only games I try to platinum are ones I either enjoy enough to squeeze everything I can out of them, or am only a couple trophies away from Platinum after finishing the main game. I definitely don't try this with most games.

Glad you're enjoying your games. I have Walking Dead S2 THROUGH PS+. Forget what month it was free.

On XBO, there's usually a progress bar for achievements that would use it. I'm keeping track of bounties in Diablo that way. That's a fairly new update though. It wasn't like that before last year.

I've been considering rentals at the library or Gamefly again recently. I may do it for the games I know I'll finish in one weekend, or ones I'm not sure I'll like. I probably wont though. I just like going to the store too much.

Yeah, too bad Netflix killed Blockbuster. I hope Sony sees that achievement update and follows suit

Well, Xbox borrowed that rarity thing Sony had first with the update. You get a percentage of gamers completed number and a special sound when you unlock a very rare achievement.

Digital Games:  The digital games I have I still try to buy a physical copy as a backup because one day my PS3 will bite the dust and I dont have access to my username email so it will all be lost!

but I love the convenience of playing digital games. No looking for the game or taking it out of console...its just really convenient

The question I've asked myself lately is, since I still have to Dl some things not stored on the disc, do I really own the full game either way?
