Took a damn year to get the ONE trophy I needed to get Platinum in Arkham Knight (Brutality 101, where Batman performs 15 different moves without stopping or getting hit), but yesterday it finally happened. ... And it was a bit anticlimactic in all honesty.
Oh well, with that I felt ok deleting the data associated with the game so I could make room for others. I am concerned that PSN asks me to buy the game for $19.99 when I look at it in my library though. I own the disc, I don't need digital. I guess some might want a digital copy in case their disc was lost, but they should really warn you about that. I got to where I could click purchase with nothing saying "hey, you already own this."
I may download it again to play the DLC and replay the main story on Knightmare/Story +, but for now I think I've done everything I wanted to with Arkham Knight for a while.
I'm two trophies away from Platinum in Need for Speed. All I have to do now is get a car tuned all the way to drift or grip settings (my Subaru has 990 horsepower, yet can't seem to go all the way over to drift even with the highest end parts) and complete 15 daily challenges. I think I've done 5 so far. Kinda wish these trophies based on "do x number of things" showed your progress.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst may be next to have its data deleted. I liked the story missions well enough, but the finicky controls and insanely limited time for mission deliveries ( better be perfect or you've failed ) tell me this won't be one I stick with much longer. Side note: it's insane how great the characters look in cutscenes vs the PS2-looking character models in the actual game. It makes sense that they focused more on the environments, but damn.
I want my Star Wars loving roommate to see how good Battlefront looks before I get rid of it. I haven't played it much, but there's not much to it either. I also want my other horror movie enjoying friend to play some Mortal Kombat XL with Leatherface and Jason.
I guess I'll download either Mad Max or Tomb Raider Definitive Edition next. ... I bought too many damn Holiday Sale games.
I'm thinking of getting Ratchet & Clank since it's only $20, but first I'll finish The Last Guardian (Christmas gift) and see what else I want to do with the games I have downloaded. Still need to finish Wolfenstein The New Order and Shadow of Mordor and at some point redownload Bloodborne and Witcher III. I'd also like to platinum Lego Marvel Superheroes.
Oh and PS+ freebies. Man, I never would have had this many games on older consoles. I've always averaged 6-8 and many were gifts. But while I love incredibly cheap digital stuff, I really miss rentals. I know there's gamefly, but it's not the same.
Until later, Pixlbits.
