Magna Carta II is an RPG developed by South Korean developer Softmax and published by Banpresto Exclusively for the Xbox 360, its a follow up to the RPG Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche released on Windows and Magna Carta Crimson Stigmata Released on the ps2. The games battle system mixes strategic turn based and real time elements. There is a free roaming camera throughout the game. When an encounter with an enemy occurs during feild movement or an event, the player has the option of switching from movement mode, during which the controlled character can move freely, to combat mode during which the character draws his or hers weapon. This gives the player the opportunity to attack. There is no loading screen when entering a fight; all battles take place in the feilds. In the game players earn Kamonds by defeating monsters that can be used to power up weapons. At Kamond shops players can turn kamonds into accesories etc, the game is said to deliver 40 hours of gameplay but im a little over halfway and i easily clocked more the 40 hours so go figure.
The story goes long ago the great war left the continent of Lanzheim a barren ruin. To save his land, the great hero Strauss sacrificed himself to the flying warship La Strada, spreading enough Kan-a powerful form of energy-to turn Lanzheim into a paradise, for 11,00 years, the land was home to many races who lived in peace and harmony, but the shadows of war are now closing in once again. The story in this game really grabs your attention and tales an excellent tale maybe not one you have heard a dozen times but told very well.
Magna Carta,s graphics are all right nothing special and nothing bad there lush brite enviroments and some dark gloomy graphics as well, theres no big deal with the graphics but done well, the voice oer and music is a bright spot in this game, theres some excellent voice acting and does not sound rehearsed and the music is fitting to a great game.
So overall this is a very well made game for the 360, and if your a fan of the series then this one you will want, and even if you have never heard of it, this game will engross you and pull you in to a fantastic world of a ravaged war and where you are in this war may surprise you. But this game i totally recommend adding to your Xbox rpg collection.
