Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a gloomy Southern California day because we are waiting for the second rain storm. We are supposedly going to have at least three days of rain which we don't usually get but we are in a drought so the rain is appreciated. Later on today President Obama and family will be visiting and if it wasn't so gloomy I would make the trip out to the local airport to see their motorcade and of course Air Force One, which will be called I believe SAM 28000 (tail number) because the Air Force One designation is for the sitting president. Like all previous presidents, the things I hope for: Don't f**k up, and leave the place better than you found it. Once again I don't care about who you voted for, we now have a new President.

So I'm watching the Inauguration so during all of this why not write up the latest edition of Quick Hits with Chris.

Is OJ Innocent – ID

There was a three night series which an investigator brings in two former cops to investigate his theory that OJ's son Jason killed Ron and Nicole. This really isn't a new theory but when they tried to figure it out, it is plausible. There were a couple of things that bugged me: the investigator had the knife, and journals of Jason Simpson, why wasn't this stuff given to the LAPD? Also another investigator comes out of nowhere and says on the night of the murders he was in the alley and saw the Bronco. Again WHERE WAS THIS DURING THE TRIAL?

 

Presidential Inauguration – On Everything

I think the feed started at 4am on the West Coast and it should continue throughout the day. I hope there are heaters where the folks with the good seats are. Also to the guy with the red hat taking pictures with his iPad in the good seats. Sit down, take in the moment and not ruin it with an iPad picture.

 

Chris Listens To...

Last week when I was writing the previous Quick Hits the un-listened to count on iTunes was at 10,195. As of today I am at

 

It doesn't seem like a lot of progress but I did add 309 new tracks and I have listened to over a thousand songs. I'm used to listening to my 50 new songs playlist and if I don't the day feels off. I'll probably start listening to it the minute Inauguration is over.

 

Chris Reads...

I am currently reading two books, but one of them I really want to finish before February and that is this book

 

So far it is an interesting read especially about Regan's time in Hollywood and I am currently at the point where Nixon is going to resign and Regan is governor of California. I'm currently reading this book on iBooks which is the first time that I am reading a book on my iPad and on my phone. iBooks is basically like Kindle except the books I import into iBooks the saves will be transfered to the other device. 

 

Randoms

-I've decided to start making the move to making digital copies of my DVDs. At some point I want to setup a home media server but for now it will be nice to have my entire library on a hard drive that I can either add to iTunes, or use a program like Plex. I don't own a DVD player and the Blu-ray player I do own that's not named PS3, or PS4 isn't connected. I want to be able to watch something without looking through my DVD books.

 

Last night I used an old external hard drive, converted a couple of files so the Playstation could read them (seriously at this point the PS4 is a little PC, why can't it read every video format?) and I watched The Goonies.

-The Oakland Raiders have filed papers to move to Las Vegas and leave it to Twitter to make me laugh

I didn't buy any games! Amazon currently has a sweet deal on Madden for $20, and I thought about it before closing the window before hitting buy.

I've had this CD on my Amazon Music app for awhile and its nice to finally have a physical copy.

 

From another Thrift Store I bought these DVDs for $2 each and some new stuff to add to the library.

 

 

Ip Man Trilogy was from the Google Play Store for $3. You can't go wrong for $3 bucks

 

 

Toys

From Walmart, if you check the random display in the grocery section there are some good Hot Wheels there

 

 Torretto's Charger from Furious 7 and the iconic KITT from Knight Rider

 

The Minecraft car is something different.
