Well good morning Pixlpeeps and it is back, Blog A Day. Now of course for some like myself I will only take part in this during the week because weekends you don't want to read my randoms. Anyways to kick off BaD I thought I would give you an explanation of what my theme will be. I've always liked to make mixtapes of various songs depending on how I feel and one of them was always a Deserted Island mix. You know, what songs would you have on a tape/CD/iPod/mp3 player if you were stranded for a bit. I thought it would be fun to take 20 songs that I would love to have while waiting on this island before I started talking to a volleyball. So in no particular order let's get started.

Day 1 Song

Sexy Eyes – Dr. Hook

How could not have a cheesy dated song that couldn't let go of disco yet was in the beginning of the 80s? Let's face it, it is a fun song, catchy, upbeat and besides you're on an island so you can do your funky dance, sing in a falsetto, use random twigs as microphones, and not have the look of shame.

That's all for now, more tomorrow!

You should force your class to listen to it, throw in some extra credit.

I saw Dr. Hook at some festival back in the day. They were all piss drunk and one of their roadies danced around on stage playing a broom through the whole thing.

I like to think the song became stuck in your head for at least a little bit Tongue Out

Oh, I recently got into Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show. I love their first two albums. I want to hear all of them. Shel Silverstein did a lot of lyrics for them. Lots of funny stuff.

Oh nice, I think I just have a Dr. Hook's Greatest Hits album. I don't see much of his other stuff around the local mom & pop. I bet I'd have better luck if I looked around the record section.
