Off to a BaD Start

The month of February isn't starting out too well for me. As of Friday I am unemployed. I thought I got past all that 4 years ago but the company I joined in January of last year is not doing well and so I was let go.

It looks like I may pick up some work at the end of the month but no more working from home. I'll have to commute an hour and a half each way for this one and it doesn't pay as much. However it is work.

Gaming wise I'm playing SMT IV Apocalypse which I'm quite enjoying. It is an extension of the first game but with some new mechanics and other improvements thrown in.

I've put world of Final Fantasy on hold for a while but I will go back to it eventually.

I'm not really inspired today so that will be it for me. I'm a sad panda.

I bought SMT4:Apocalypse on day one and I still hadn't played it. I started DQ7 and I'm still playing it. I haven't decided if I'm going to play DQ8 or Apocalypse after I finish DQ7.

Can Apocalypse be played without any knowlegde of the previous one? I didnt play it but that one looks really interesting so I thought of getting it at some point.

I wouldn't play it without playing the first game. There's a whole back story and characters that continue from SMT IV plus you get bonuses for loading up your game save. That said, if you are only interested in fusing a few demons and exploring a demon infested world it might not be a big thing to play it first.

Seriously, though, sorry to hear your news about work. And a three hour total commute! Holy cow. I hope you can queue up a boat load of podcasts or audiobooks or something. Are you driving or riding a train?

Driving. I'm negotiating with the Director who is hiring me so that I only have to do it 3 days a week and work remotely for 2. He also said that we can car pool on days when he's in the office. He's been doing a similar commute for about 2 years now.
