Never heard of Volgarr. Gonna look that up now.
BaD '17: In which I sum up what I've been playing

In this post, I'll give a rundown of what I've been playing since the beginning of last fall, or at least the highlights.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4): This is an ongoing endeavor as I'm a sucker for games with big open areas with a lot of places to explore and I just have to check all those question marks. Recently, I just left Novigrad for Skellige (which I think is Act 2?) but I've invested way over 50 hours doing side quests and exploring. Normally, a game of this size would've scared me off by the sheer enormity of content but while I've taken a break from the game, I'm going to go back and sink in more hours.
Doom (PS4): I did complete the campaign mode. I have no interest in the multiplayer. And while I didn't get anywhere close to finding all of the secrets, I'll go back and replay the campaign and make that a mission in life. One of the best games from last year.
Stardew Valley (PS4): I've had little to no experience with Harvest Moon or any other games in its genre but I've heard/read so many great things about this one. It's a truly charming game and I'm glad that I bought it. It's just that it's competing with other games as well. And I really want a Vita version of this. I guess I can Remote Play it in the meantime.
Uncharted 4: I mentioned this in the previous post, but I've gone back and played some of the Survival mode, which is basically a Horde mode. I've never been that good at Uncharted MP but I think easing into this mode will be a better fit for me. I also want to replay the campaign someday.
Titanfall 2 (PS4): Were it not for Overwatch, this would've been the standout FPS game of last year. Always fast and exciting. I have good and bad matches like most players but there's always moments where I can pull off a surprising kill (or multiples) and it makes me smile.
Overwatch (PS4): I haven't jumped in since the Year of the Dragon content dropped but this is a dependably good time. My mains are Zenyatta, Reinhardt, Ana and Soldier 76. I'm trying to get better with D.Va and Mercy.
Volgarr The Viking (PS4/Vita): One of my favorite Youtube videos is a 45 minute supercut of GiantBomb's Brad Shoemaker dying over and over and over and over again while playing the Steam version of this. I believe this finally made it to PSN in November and I wanted to give it a shot. It's not impossible to beat but the challenge is undeniable: you will die countless times trying to figure out how to survive. And like many cross-platform indie games on PSN, the Vita version is the best way to play. It's how I beat a good portion of the game anyway. In any case, I recommend finding that supercut video on Youtube. It's good for a laugh.
The Division (PS4): I've jumped back into this one after several outlets have stated that this is a better game after the numerous patches over the year. I may also purchase the season pass soon. I think it plays better and there's more in the way of content. I always liked the game but I sent it back to Gamefly last year when i feared that it was going to fall in the same trap that Destiny did.
I've got the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider in from Gamefly and I need to jump back into Skyrim and GTA V (both Xbox 360) at some point. I need to do quite a bit of this before Horizon Zero Dawn drops, cause that game is going to own my time and soul.
