I recently downloaded a digital copy of Just Cause 2 for the 360 during a sale they had. It was $10 and I knew the game was an "open-world sandbox game" so I figured I'd give it a shot. I am so glad I did.

It's a really great game. And when I say this, I mean it's a completely entertaining time-waster. The story is lackluster so far, the game machanics leave a little something to be desired, but how many games can you latch onto a helicopter with a wrist grapple mechanism, beat the pilot's head against the windshield to hijack it, and then aim it at a government installation and bail at the last moment to parachute to the ground and walk away from the impending explosion. It's like virtually living a Michael Bay movie. (Which when I think about it, is the reason I loved Army of Two.) Not that I'm condoning Michael Bay or anything he does (except The Rock, that shit was awesome) but sometimes I just want some mindless popcorn entertainment like that, and JC2 allows me to play the thing.

Aside from that, I've beaten Bioshock Infinite twice now. I had to go back through to pick up some of the achievements I missed the first time around. And soon I shall attempt that mode of modes, 1999 mode. I'm not one for butting my head against a brick wall, after all, I feel games are supposed to be about fun, but the challenge of it is intriguing to me.

Either way, I'm looking at a fun week or so coming up, which is good, because when we go into tech at the theater, I'm going to have zero free time on my hands. Better get it in now while I can. And I had such high hopes for doing some gaming on my PS3, too.

I have the first Just Cause game & it was very fun for what it was. I sort of wonder, how many things its' sequel has improved upon? You make it seem enjoyable at any rate. There's nothing wrong with popcorn entertainment. Feel no shame, brotha!

I hated that second Transformers movie, but Pain & Gain actually looks like something I'd watch. Good to have some popcorn entertainment now and then, especially in gaming.
