I'm not really big for those old, slower female-led pop songs, but she definitely has a voice and I love the sax.
As for her Star Spangled Banner, I don't think I've heard anyone disagree with it being the best version.

Saving All My Love For You – Whitney Houston
How can you have a mixtape and not have early Whitney Houston? This was always played on my local radio station and it was one of those songs you don't like at first (because I was a kid and I thought this was a love song), but like a week later you love it. It's like that scene from Easy A, the Pocketful Of Sunshine Birthday Card
Early Whitney is easily the best music of her career. Her voice was killer and there was so much power. Because this is Super Bowl week I could have went with the obvious, which was her version of the Star Spangled Banner, and I don't care what anyone says this was the best rendition ever. Hell it was on the Billboard Top 25. I didn't go with this one or any of the other songs she has because I really like how this song builds up. The soft beginning where she talks about being the other other woman and as the song builds no matter how beautiful it sounds you can imagine the sadness of this person as she waits for this man, even if everyone tells her to move on. The best part is towards the end with the chorus where you can hear the power and intensity. This could be a song that I may or may not sing in the car when it comes on. Also how do you not love a song with a soulful saxophone?
That's all for now, more tomorrow!

She admitted to it for some performance involving the President.
The media did go nuts over it.
And yeah, those photos turn me off even more. I know she has worldwide appeal and a great voice, but her ego seems beyond the usual pop star's, which is way too much.
