 BaD#5

Hey everyone, how are you? I know we aren't supposed to post on the weekend, but who cares? I don't like cutting corners and you'll have something to read in the weekend. I've been breaking that rule since I participated in Blog a Day, so why stop now? Well on to Part 2 of my favorite PS3 games of 2016:

Disney Infinity 2

Disney Infinity 2.0: I was always interested in DI for quite some time. A bunch of my favorite Disney characters with a bunch of Marvel characters. How is that not cool? I told myself I'd buy it once it reached 20 bucks, and well it did and I had to buy it then. I should learn to keep my mouth shut sometimes, maybe I should say I should win the lottery. Anyway, I found the game to be really neat, you can level up your character and make them learn new skills, ride on vehicles, and a whole bunch. I really like the stylized look of the characters. The figures themselves are very well made, but I find the bases a bit too big? The game overall is really fun and you can even use the figures from the previous version of Disney Infinity.

Disney Infinity

Disney Infinity: I got this one even cheaper, I think I got it for around 15 bucks one time I went to Gamestop. Sadly this was after they announced the series was being cancelled. I would of gotten the Star Wars one but they did't have it for PS3. So I went with this one. I'm not gonna lie, I liked the Marvel one, but I liked this one even more. I guess it's due to the fact that it has 3 different properties which are Monsters University, The Incredibles, and Pirates of the Carribean. It had more variety in my opinion. Not to say 2.0 wasn;t good, it is, I just enjoyed 1.0(?) more. If you see these anywhere cheap and chances they are, pick it up. Not sure if I'll get the Star Wars one though.

RE Revelations

Resident Evil: Revelations: I remember I got the game on my 3DS at launch, but I refused to open it, as my copy had that boxart error. The game went on sale last year around Halloween, so I thought I might as well pick it up. It took a while to finish downloading on the PS3. I really enjoyed the game. You can tell by playing it that it was a 3DS game due to the textures in the enviroment and on the characters. Don't expect something graphically insane. The game I found fun, it really didn't scare me, but it definitely has that brooding atmosphere that you are alone on an abandoned cruise ship in th middle of the ocean. I really enjoyed the Raid Mode, which is a mode where you go missions on various oarts of the story, but the enemies are harder. You can go it alone or with random players and friends. Not bad for the price I got it for.

J Stars Victory

J-Stars Victory VS+: This one is one my brother got, but I borrowed it. The game is really fun, it's a 3D fighting game that features characters from older to more recent anime properties. I recognize almost all the roster, so this is definitely my kind of anime fighting game. It plays like a DBZ game, but right here you can have 3 characters, one is your playable character, the 2nd is your partner character that is controlled via the games A.I., and the 3rd is your assist character that gives you buffs should you need them. The matches consist of 2 vs. 2 on the arena at the same time with fully destructable enviroments. The game is really fun and definitelly a treat for anyone who loves anime. I really enjoyed it. It's availalbe on PS3, PSVita, and PS4, and no it doesn't have a different trophy list if you own 2 versions.

NFS Rivals

NFS Rivals: I've been eyeing this one for a while, but I got this as an xmas gift in 2016. It combines everything I loved about NFS Hot Pursuit (2010) gameplay, NFS The Run's graphics, and the open world of NFS Most Wanted (2012). It's a really fun game and you can choose to be either a racer or a cop which each having their own set of missions. One key thing in the game is the word "Rivals" You will be hearing that word throught the whole game. The game has you race against your "Rivals" or actual players on the same session you are in. That means you are always connected online with a group of players doing their own thing by either being racers and racing with you, or being cops and trying to stop you. It's really cool because you can just be on the open world map driving and you can see what the other players are doing. You can also set the game to be offline only if you prefer to be alone, since while you're doing single player stuff, the other players can mess you up if they decide to be asses. It's a really fun game, definitely one of my favorite NFS games. It's on both PS3 and PS4.

Well that concludes Part 2 of my favorite PS3 games of 2016. I'll have another post of my favorite games from a different system next time. So thanks for reading and...

I wanted to get J-Stars, but I saw a lot of mixed views about it.  I figure I'll get it when the price drops.

I like the designs for Disney Infinity.  Too bad they cancelled that stuff.

I played a hella lot of Disney Infinity games last year. Now I've got the XBO versions of 2 and 3.0 and am going to play them again. I love the figures. I have a pretty good collection of them now. I may do some blogs on them this month. I just got a special case on a GS clearance sale to display my favortie figure, Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey.
